Back in February, Graco issued one of the largest car seat recalls in recent history, as it applied to a whopping 3.8 million seats. Less than a month later, another 400,000 car seats, including 12 models, were added to the list. The issue? The safety buckles were becoming stuck, making it difficult for parents to quickly release their babies or toddlers in the event of an emergency.
Earlier this week, Evenflo issued its own recall of more than a million car seats sold between 2011 and 2014. The company discovered that the harness crotch buckles on the affected seats were becoming resistant to unlatching over time, like the Graco issue, making it difficult to remove the child quickly.
