10 Creative Ways to Wear Red on National Wear Red Day

It's the first Friday in February, and you know what that means . . . it's National Wear Red Day! Created in 2003 by the American Heart Association and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, the holiday is tailored to make you think about heart disease being the number one killer of women. That's a fashion statement we can all get behind.

If you need a little help getting red-y today, check out these samples we've gathered for your street style inspiration. As you throw on your favorite ruby-colored clothing on your way out the door, make sure to snap a selfie and share your red-hot look on social media using the hashtag #WearRedandGive. And while you're at it, you can also donate online to help fight the disease that causes one out of every three of our sisters' deaths each year. That option is available at the American Heart Association's Go Red For Women fundraising page.

Now, get scrolling, because these fashion-forward finds will make you glad you're seeing red.
