Products: Topshop top, Paige bottom, Mulberry shoes, Vanessa Mooney necklace
1 Slashed
Why we love it: Distressed denim is the perfect excuse to give off casual-cool vibes, and thankfully, there's a whole spectrum of styles. You can choose whether you prefer a couple subtle slashes at the knee or an overload of grungy, eye-catching tears.
Products: Amour Vert top, Re/Done bottom, Cecelia shoes, Michael Kors necklace, Jules Smith ring
Paige Jimmy Skinny Sawyer ($239)
Rag & Bone Thrasher Slim ($295)
One Teaspoon Awesome Baggies ($139)
2 White
Why we love it: White denim makes us feel crisp and clean, and it offers the perfect Canadian tuxedo switch-up. Wear them with holes, wear them in a flared silhouette, and definitely wear them all year round. Rules were made to be broken, anyway.
Products: Veda top, Sandro jacket, Nili Lotan bottom, Mulberry shoes, Vita Fede necklace
DL1961 Bardot High-Rise Crop ($168)
3 Boyfriend
Why we love it: This season, the classic boyfriend style is getting a feminine reboot. Some labels even refer to their relaxed fit as "the girlfriend," and we've got no problem with that. The updated version is a bit more formfitting and looks sleek enough to be worn with a pair of strappy heels.
H&M Girlfriend Jeans ($40)
4 Overalls
Why we love it: If you haven't noticed, overalls are totally trending. And now that so many designers have jumped on the bandwagon, there's a wide range of offerings, including a slew of different washes and pant widths. Keep scrolling to find your favorite — and don't forget to unhook one shoulder strap if you like to make a statement.
5 Slim Gray Cigarette
Why we love it: There may be 50 shades of gray to choose from, but every pair is sleeker than the next. If you're looking for a superskinny jean, this washed-out cigarette style is your go-to. These are a bit more casual than a black pant, but they still work as the foundation to your night-out look.
AG Jeans the Stilt in Ravine ($178)
6 Flares
Why we love it: We're feeling a major '70s influence for Spring, so it's no surprise that bell-bottomed jeans and wide-leg pants are a plenty. In denim terms, that means you can choose between high-waist or low-rise and subtly flared bottoms or a loose, sailor-inspired silhouette. If your pair hits you above the belly button, work them with a crop top, and if they're slung at the hips, try a breezy, boho blouse. Not sure what shoes to work with your flared jeans? We're here to help.
DVF Debbie Stretch-Denim Flared Jeans ($330)
Products: Levi's top, Diane von Furstenberg bottom, Vivienne Westwood shoes, Vanessa Mooney necklace
Zara Short Flared Jeans ($80)
MIH Bodycon Marrakesh Flares ($255)
DL1961 Joy the Flare Jean ($168)
Cabi Malibu Flare Jean ($108)
7 Patchwork
Why we love it: This style leaves room for fun. Choose the patches that speak to you — whether that's a strip of suede, a paisley print, or an additional square of denim in a darker hue — and slip these on with a simple top. That way, your jeans will take center stage.
Paige Jimmy Patched Jeans ($249)
Products: Topshop top, Paige bottom, Mulberry shoes, Vanessa Mooney necklace
Saint Laurent Patchwork Jeans ($1,090)
