If You're Looking For a "Quick Fix" to Lose Weight, Kayla Itsines Has Some Powerful Advice

Kayla Itsines is the queen of weight-loss transformations. Her BBG (Bikini Body Guide) program has transformed millions of bodies all over the globe, but she just shared the most powerful advice about a weight-loss journey, and it's something we can all appreciate. If you're starting her program, chances are you're looking to make a major lifestyle change and see results, but as you can probably tell by her inspiring side-by-side transformation photos, these changes take time — and that's the best part about it.

The Australian trainer and influencer recently took to Instagram to share a message to anyone looking to shape up fast about why a "quick fix" is not the answer.

"There IS a quick way to lose weight, and there IS a quick way to do everything... BUT... that doesn't make it the right way or the safe way," she captioned the photo above. "You want to look back on your journey and say 'I earned my body,' and be proud. My clients always say that their JOURNEY is always the best part and their proudest achievement looking back, not their new weight on the scales."

Now, if anyone knows anything about a journey, it's Kayla. As a trainer, she's seen people fall off track with their goals, and there's nothing wrong with that, but understanding what it takes to see results and get where you want to be will make getting back on track much easier.

"You want to be able to say 'I've done it before and I'll do it again - BETTER,'" Kayla wrote. "You need to be educated. Put in the hard work, enjoy your journey, learn along the way and be proud of everything you have accomplished! I have always found that the quick fixes in life often result in the fastest disappointment, not the fastest success."

We may wonder why after a week of eating healthy and working out we don't look like a BBG success story, but these changes take a long time, and they are so worth it.

Kayla closed her note with some final advice: "Don't look for the quick fix, look to change your life and to learn about YOUR body. Look for the long term solution to health and happiness. Love your body and it will love you right back!"
