Basil-Lime Gin Mojito

Ingredients
- 4 basil leaves, plus 1 small sprig for garnishing
2 ounces gin
3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice, plus 2 slices for garnishing
1 ounce simple syrup
Chilled club soda
Directions
- Place the basil leaves and ice in a cocktail shaker along with the gin, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake well, bruising the basil leaves and releasing their flavor.
- Pour into an ice-filled glass and tuck in the lime slices. Top with club soda and a sprig of basil leaves.
