"Forties" and "classy" might not ever have been used in the same sentence before, but Rosé Forties are paving the way for such a possibility. A company called Forty Ounce Wines has released 40-ounce bottles of Rosé into the world, and we're quite sure that summertime drinking will never be the same. And it's not cheapo stuff, either. According to the company's site, the wine is "Organically farmed and vinified by Julien Braud in the small village of Monnières in Muscadet's Sèvre et Maine appellation." We feel classy just saying it.
For numeric context, a standard bottle of wine is 750 milliliters, or about 25 ounces, and the 40-ounce bottle is selling for as low as $15 at some locations. If you're wondering where you can get your hands on these babies, they're currently available in stores in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, California, and Colorado . . . but only for a limited time. According to an Instagram post from the company, only 1,200 cases were produced for the year. This hot Rosé commodity could be just as popular as the Rosé gummy bears from last year, which ended up garnering a wait list of thousands of people. Either way, keep your eyes peeled for these supersize bottles, and for those of you who have to settle for regular-size bottles, might we recommend upgrading to a homemade Rosé slushie?
