Want a challenge? The fiddle-leaf fig ($195) is a gorgeous addition for any room but surprisingly difficult to keep alive! This plant doesn't enjoy changes to its environment and doesn't like temperature fluctuations but is so worth it if you are up to the task.

If you're traveling around or too busy to remember to water your plants, the snake plant ($49, originally $55)) is for you! It only needs watering every 3-4 weeks but still looks great in the corner of the room if you want to host an impromptu dinner party over Zoom.

If you love a good dual-purpose, zero-waste option, aloe vera ($33, originally $40) is your plant-to-be. It looks attractive and is incredibly easy to care for (keep it in direct sunlight and water it every 3 weeks or so), and its gel also doubles as a salve for burns and skin irritants.

The Animal-Lover

The spider plant ($35) is pretty nontoxic, so if your beloved pet takes a bite out of this easy-to-grow and adaptable houseplant, don't worry! They don't mind direct or indirect sunlight, and you can even grow them outdoors in the summer.

You've probably seen these IG-worthy leaves all over the place! Monsteras ($56) give your bedroom instant jungle vibes, and if you're too busy taking selfies to water them, it's OK — they only need a good soak every two weeks or so.

Do you love black and keep your windows drawn at all times? The ZZ plant ($40) survives (and thrives!) in low light. It also purifies the air and is easy to care for, but perhaps the most metal thing of all is the gorgeous plant is poisonous, so wash your hands after handling it (and definitely don't eat it!).
