- Despite promoting a campaign based on ridding Washington of political insiders, Donald Trump's cabinet is already shaping up to be stacked with longtime DC players. On Sunday, Trump announced that RNC Chairman Reince Priebus would be his chief of staff. But perhaps more shocking was Trump's decision to make Stephen Bannon his senior counselor to the White House. Bannon, who worked on the campaign as Trump's chief executive, is also the executive chairman of the conservative media organization Breitbart and has been heavily criticized for his ties to hate groups.
