Game of Thrones Bachelorette: 7 People Daenerys Could Marry

Season six of Game of Thrones ends with Daenerys Targaryen finally heading toward Westeros, ready to claim her birthright of the Iron Throne. It's not going to be easy, given the fact that Cersei sits on it now and there will be many who try to get in her way, but she brings up an excellent point to her heartbroken lover Daario when discussing her strategy: she can marry. A marriage will provide Daenerys with a proper alliance that will get her even further, so that's great for strategy and all, but the matchmaker within me also got very excited about a potential wedding for Daenerys. There are a lot of eligible bachelors in Westeros right now, so we're pointing out who could end up marrying Daenerys in season seven. Get your roses ready to pass out.

01
Jon Snow
HBO

Jon Snow

Before you balk, there's a whole theory around this idea. Especially now that it's all but confirmed that Jon is a Targaryen, these two would have even more reason to unite their family line (I know, incest is yuck, but it wouldn't be weird in the GOT world for a nephew to marry his aunt — the Targaryens used to marry brother to sister to keep the line clean). Even if the world doesn't know about Jon's parentage yet, the fact that he's been declared the King in the North would seem to make him a perfectly eligible bachelor and would unite Daenerys with the North.

02
Euron Greyjoy
HBO

Euron Greyjoy

If Game of Thrones were a season of The Bachelorette, Euron would be there for all the wrong reasons. Euron says earlier this season that he wants to marry Daenerys, but he has no intention of ruling with her — it would be purely strategic, and you know he thinks he would wear the pants. Ha.

03
Jaime Lannister
HBO

Jaime Lannister

Now this would be interesting. Previously, Jaime was always unable to marry because of his position in the Kingsguard, but now that he's been dismissed by Tommen, he could marry someone. Wouldn't it just be so delicious if he's so mad at Cersei that he allies with Daenerys against her? Cersei might actually explode.

04
Petyr Baelish
HBO

Petyr Baelish

He may act like his heart belongs to Sansa, but we know that Baelish's heart really belongs to that political ladder he has been trying to climb his whole life. Obviously, Daenerys would never consider him — Littlefinger is not nearly powerful enough — but what if he figured something out that tempted her? Never underestimate Littlefinger.

05
Bran Stark
HBO

Bran Stark

OK, this one is a long shot, and we're not even sure if his disability, um, would allow him to produce an heir. But once Bran is discovered as being alive, the last male Stark heir could be an alliance for Dany. Obviously, Bran's got bigger fish to fry, so as the kids say: next!

06
Tyrion Lannister
HBO

Tyrion Lannister

This one admittedly wouldn't make for a necessary alliance since Tyrion is already Hand to Daenerys and devoted to her. However, their working together may not necessarily rule out the possibility of them marrying, if a Targaryen/Lannister marriage could strengthen Daenerys's force even further.

07
Yara Greyjoy
HBO

Yara Greyjoy

We're not sure what the marriage equality laws in Westeros are exactly, we just know that Yara is down to marry Daenerys. Two queens?! We've been given so many gifts this season. Let's not get greedy.
