Plane Crashes Into a Couple's House and Misses Them by 8 Inches

Early on Tuesday morning, an airplane crashed into an elderly couple's home near Midway Airport in Chicago. The plane crashed a quarter-mile away from the airport, hitting the home of an 84-year-old man and his 82-year-old wife, who are both safe. Chicago Fire Chief Michael Fox told reporters, "They were in a bedroom next to the living room, and the living room is gone. Eight inches. They were very lucky." It was a small twin-engine cargo plane, and the only person on board was the pilot, who was killed in the crash. The pilot had just taken off from Midway Airport, and when he realized there were engine problems, he turned around and headed back to the airport. Watch the newscast above for more details.
