Paris is one lucky girl. She gets to pose for top photographers for French Vogue magazine as well as get paid to party. It's crazy the way Hollywood works these days. You would think Paris would be the last person you'd have to pay to party but it turns out that's not the case. In fact, that's how she makes a living. Page Six reports:

Word on the street is Paris Hilton and Carmen Electra are trying to line up gigs to host celebrations in Miami, New York or Los Angeles - for a pricey sum. Hilton wants $100,000 plus expenses and a private jet for her to host a party, while Electra is cheap - a mere $50,000 and expenses. No jet necessary.

No wonder Paris wasn't making appearances to promote her new film. The producers must have known that they would have to pay her extra to come.

Madonna spoke to Oprah today via satellite from London about the new addition to her family, David. The show will air tomorrow, and we're hearing that audience members were left feeling sympathetic for Madge. She was apparently very frustrated with the media and all the fuss it's creating, hoping this won't discourage others from adopting. People reports:

The singer talked about the great lengths she went to in order to follow Malawi's proper adoption procedures and said she got no special treatment, according to audience members. "She said (of Yohane Banda), 'He looked at me straight in the eye and said I'm thankful for giving my son a future and a life because if he stayed with me I would have buried him,' " Carter says.

"Her biggest concern is that (the controversy) is going to stop other people from trying to adopt" from the region, says Susie Lazega, 38, of Atlanta. "That's her biggest worry."

On a happier note, Madonna showed photos of herself with her arms wrapped around daughter Lourdes, 10, son Rocco, 6, and David. Another photo showed the singer's husband Guy Ritchie lifting a beaming David up in the air. "They look like a happy, loving family. You see her two other children have embraced David," says Robin Ayoob, 54, of Philadelphia.

Madge also explains how this was not an impulsive decision and explains the details of their adoption. Probably more news on this tomorrow.

Brandon is a lifelong family friend of the Hiltons but still these pictures of him holding hands with Nicky are really confusing and/or troubling. Is this just a "helping a friend in a time of trouble" supportive handhold, or are she and Paris now sharing their men? Or is it - gasp - something more serious than that? Yes, Brandon is a family friend, but that doesn't take him out of the running. She married and annulled her other good family friend, Todd Meister.

The 41-year-old actress and beachwear designer, who has a five-year-old son by former flame Steve Bing, is planning lavish celebrations for her marriage to Indian businessman Arun Nayer. The British ceremony is reported to be taking place at Barnsley House hotel, close to the model's 400-acre home in Ampney Knowle near Cirencester in February next year. Guests including Elton John and the Beckhams will tuck into champagne and canapes at the Grade II listed house, followed by a sumptuous wedding breakfast in a marquee.

But it is the three-day celebrations in India that will provide a spectacular finale. "I love the pomp and ceremony associated with Indian weddings," Elizabeth has said. The second wedding will take place at the opulent Devi Garh boutique hotel, a former Maharaja's palace in Udaipur, where the couple got engaged on November 4 last year. According to sources the groom will arrive on a white horse while Liz might make her entrance on a painted elephant.

Monday night Sacha Baron Cohen premiered his new film, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, in Hollywood. Courteney Cox Arquette, Drew Barrymore, Sacha's lady Isla Fisher and many, many more all showed up for the festivities. He's clearly in with the hot Hollywood it-crowd. The "journalist" from Kazakhstan played by Sacha Baron Cohen transformed the red carpet premiere of his new film into a scene from his home country yesterday -- complete with a parade of hookers, peasants and a horse drawn stationwagon.

After being carried to a stage by a "woman" who resembled a linebacker with a five o'clock shadow, Borat greeted the crowd on Hollywood Blvd. with "Good evening gentlemen and prostitutes."
