Nelly just scored the Pop Single of the Year at the Billboard Awards and now she's getting ready to impress us with her acting skills. She just taped an appearance on the soap opera One Life to Live. Nelly is hoping this won't be the last time you see her acting - she'd like to do more of it. Here's more:

In the episode set to air on February 23, Nelly performs her two hit singles "Promiscuous" and "Say It Right" and acts opposite the show's resident heartthrobs, Forbes March and Kamar De Los Reyes. "I've always watched soaps growing up, so this has been a great adventure," the 28-year-old said in an exclusive interview with In Touch from the ABC set on December 12. "It was so much fun and everyone was welcoming."

Acting is something the Canadian-born singer and single mother would like to do more of. "I've been taking acting classes," she says. "This was my third speaking part, so I'm a lot more confident now. Film is definitely a possibility." But first thing's first: Nelly is currently in the studio recording her first Spanish-language album, which will be released next year.

Vanessa was spotted doing a little holiday shopping at LA's popular baby boutique Petit Tresor. However, we are not jumping to any conclusions. While things with her and Nick seem to be going very well, we're not spreading any pregnancy rumors today. Apparently she spent around $600 for one very lucky baby boy. Looks like someone is knocking people off her holiday shopping list. TMZ reports:

Among the items Minnillo went gaga for: a chenille baby basket for $189, a pair of adorable dinosaur slippers for $32, a frog plush toy for $38 and a blue Ultrasuede blanket for $269. Vanessa took all the gifts with her and had none of them wrapped.

The American Pie actress was accused of sexually molesting a neighbor's dog. Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? Natasha has had her share of problems and even Michael Rapaport wrote a report on what a terrible tenant she was. She tried to dodge the court after missing 4 hearings and now she has decided to face the music. Here's more:

Actress Natasha Lyonne, the star of "American Pie" accused of threatening to sexually molest a dog, turned herself in at a New York court on Friday.

The 27-year-old faced a number of charges including criminal mischief, harassment and trespassing after accusations she threatened to sexually molest her former neighbor's dog and ripped a mirror off the wall during a 2004 argument.

At the Manhattan Criminal Court appearance, drug counselor Heather Hayes said Lyonne had completed an in-patient drug program in February and continued to attend outpatient rehabilitation groups.

Judge Anthony Ferrara said the charges would be dropped if the actress stayed out of trouble for the next six months.

The good news is she is clearly working hard to get better. Let's hope she stays clean, out of trouble and away from dogs for a very long time.

Cameron may be too big to do ads here in the states, but not in Japan. Here's some of her ads for SoftBank Mobile in Tokyo. Whether Cameron is acting or modeling, she is very conscientious of her image. And she understands that as a celebrity, she is a role model for a lot of young fans. She agrees with her The Holiday co-star Kate Winslet that the super-skinny trend needs to be stopped. Here's more:

"I think it's terrifying, it's tragic and sad. I think that it's a sickness, something that's going on in someone's head where their perspective is off. We get ideals from images that we see and there certainly should be more responsibility put on those people who are putting those images out into the world. Let's be a little bit more responsible to what's realistic. I'm a skinny girl, so all my life all I have ever wanted to be is curvaceous and voluptuous, have everything falling out everywhere. Some people... their perception and their perspective is completely askew."

We have not even done our best of 2006 lists and already we are reading about the must see movies in 2007. Premiere Magazine has us looking forward to next year - especially Spider-Man 3. Unfortunately, we are already hearing more about the possibility that this may be the last installment in this series. Kirsten already leaked that they may be finished and now Tobey is eluding to the same thing. The physical demands of Spider-man is one thing but now Tobey's a dad so the stunts and time away from his daughter may not be worth it anymore. Besides, he thinks number three is a good place to end the franchise. Here's more:

He says, "This might be a good place to stop - I am not tied contractually to any more Spider-Man movies. I am not completely closed to the idea of another one if it made sense but I would say the odds were in favour of this being the last one." Last month (OCT06) Maguire's co-star and onscreen love interest KIRSTEN DUNST hinted she's keen to ditch the movies too and take up art instead. She said, "I'm not the type of actress who does movie after movie."

Britney is single and loving it, but we have all had enough of her endless party nights. One big star has jumped to her defense. Mary J Blige seems to think this is just a phase and wants us to all give Britney a break while she's sorting out her life. She said,

"I know that at some point in our lives we've had a situation like Britney's, meaning that we all were with someone we thought loved us and actually didn't. We make mistakes. I am looking at Britney as a human being just like myself. I messed up big time in my life. I love Britney and I send out all of my prayers and all great energy to her because she's young and she is going through it. She is going to get through. She is going to come out on the other side real nice I think."

Paris and Stavros might be back together but that doesn't mean Paris has stopped partying. Here she was leaving Butter this week in NYC with House of Wax co-star Elisha Cuthbert. Stavros, however, thinks that he can tame Paris into leaving her partying behind. His parents evidently don't approve of Paris' lifestyle and won't even meet her. He thinks if he can change her they might come around. Here's more:

STAVROS Niarchos is trying to rein in potential fiancée Paris Hilton so he can bring her home to his parents, who are less than thrilled with his choice in girlfriends. Niarchos was doing everything in his power to get Hilton home at a decent hour last week end in Miami, where he took a break from studying art to party it up with Paris, Nicky Hilton and Brandon Davis. But on both Friday and Saturday nights, he argued with Hilton, trying to convince her to go back to their room at the Shore Club (she wanted to stay out). The two were also seen exchanging words outside of Ink.

JT was supposedly not so into American Idol a few months ago, but has now signed up to be involved with a contest kinda like AI. My Grammy Idol is a new talent competition sponsored by the Recording Academy and they're searching for hidden talent. Some very lucky contestants will even get to rehearse with JT the week before the Grammys. JT is very excited to find the next big superstar. Here's more:

Singers must submit through Yahoo! Music a 60-second video of an a cappella version of one of the following ditties by Jan. 3: Alicia Keys' "If I Ain't Got You," Faith Hill's "Breathe," Tina Turner's "What's Love Got to Do with It," Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance with Somebody," Mariah Carey's "Vision of Love," Aretha Franklin's "Respect," and, for the fellas, "Luther Vandross' "Dance with My Father" or Timberlake's own "Cry Me a River."

The entrants will be judged by a blue-ribbon committee comprised of singers, songwriters, producers and other industry VIPs. A dozen will be named Jan. 8, at which point the masses will be able to view the submissions and further vet the wannabe pop stars down to five, then three finalists. At which point they're virtually all winners—the final three contestants will all be allowed to rehearse with Timberlake in the week leading up to the 49th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 11.

"I'm happy to participate in this unique approach to discovering unsigned talent, but I'm only a piece of the puzzle," the FutureSex/LoveSounds singer said. "All of you contestants out there should look at this as more than just a chance to duet with me, because it's really an opportunity to begin your career as a superstar. And I'll be there to help coach you along."
