Congrats to the happy couple who have just announced the arrival of a baby girl named Shiloh. People reports:

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have welcomed a baby girl, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, a rep for the couple confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.

The child was born on May 27, at night, in the African country of Namibia.

The name Shiloh is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "His gift." How sweet.

We had a feeling this weekend was going to be full of big news. First Hilary's divorce, then Gwen's baby and now the long-awaited Jolie-Pitt kid - it's so exciting. Who knows what is next? So far nothing on US Weekly, Life & Style or In Touch's sites about the news. As always, only trust People for the real deal. In Touch may have reported she was going to have a baby via c-section today, but People is the one they went to with the official announcement. As we are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Jolie-Pitt baby, there is another couple on the horizon dodging baby rumors. Some are saying Sandra Bullock might be pregnant but I just don't see it. In the meantime, it's a good thing she's got that strong man of hers to keep her safe. Jesse can protect her from the stalker Sandra is hoping to extend a restraining order on.

In Touch is reporting that Angelina is scheduled to give birth today. For some reason celebrities these days don't wait until they go into labor, they actually schedule it. Maybe it's more convenient for the plastic surgeons who tuck the tummy afterwards. Here's more from In Touch:

Angelina Jolie is scheduled to give birth by Caesarean section tomorrow, Saturday, May 27, In Touch has learned exclusively.

Although she had really wanted to have a natural birth, Angelina's doctors are urging her to have the procedure due to a minor complication. "There's nothing seriously wrong,� an insider says. "They are expecting it all to be routine.�

Angelina, 30, is scheduled to have the C-section at a Namibian hospital, according to the insider. The father of the child, Brad Pitt, 42, is expected to be by her side.

Angelina had been planning to give birth at the Burning Shore Beach Lodge in Swakopmund — the African resort where she, Brad and her two adopted children, Maddox, 4, and Zahara, 16 months, have been staying for the past two months. But the doctors have advised her she will be safer in a hospital.

The baby, a girl, will be delivered by her American ob-gyn, assisted by local doctors, the insider adds. “Everyone is very excited, Maddox in particular,� says an insider in Africa. “He knows he is getting a new baby sister, now they are telling him how soon it will be.�

The long-awaited birth is a week before Angelina's June 3 due date.
