So it was true. Star was scheduled to work until mid-July but due to her surprise announcement yesterday, ABC decided otherwise. Star was told not to come back and they made it very clear she was already forgotten. Barbara made an announcement this morning to try to clear the air a little but you could tell they are pissed at Star. Check out the change in the website in one day.

Star kept talking this morning as well. She spoke to Ryan Seacrest about how she could not believe Barbara used such a strong word as Betrayal. She also said she has been crying for months over this and thankfully her husband has been so supportive and helpful to get her through this tough time.

Kate Moss and Burberry are together again. After they dumped her for the cocaine fiasco the fashion house made an announcement 2 months later that Kate was still a part of their family. No wonder her family hates her. Tori is using Daddy's death to get on the cover of US Weekly. Apparently she is devastated she found out about Aaron's passing via BlackBerry while she was in Toronto. However, apparently his horrible stroke was not enough to bring her home to him in the first place. US Weekly reports:

On the night of June 23, Tori Spelling sat in Betty’s restaurant in Toronto, Canada, when she received the heartbreaking news via BlackBerry that her father, legendary producer, Aaron, had passed away: “A friend of mine had seen a TV report and e-mailed me, ‘I’m so sorry. I just heard your father died.’ And I was just in total shock,” Tori tells Us. Her sorrow quickly turned to anger.

“My first thought was, I can’t believe my mom didn’t call me!” Actually, it wasn’t a total surprise since Tori, 33, and her mom, Candy have been in a longstanding feud. Because of the estrangement, the self-proclaimed daddy’s girl had only seen her 83-year-old father – whose health had been failing for months – on one occasion since last September. And that tearful visit, at the urging of her brother, Randy, 27 (also an actor), was on June 11, just two weeks before Aaron Spelling died.

Rumors are back regarding Jessica Simpson and her Employee of the Month co-star, Dane Cook. Apparently the two were getting hot and heavy at Hyde the other night. Since it's well known he has a longtime girlfriend, Racquel Houghton, Jessica now begins her Public Affair #2. The Scoop reports:

Last week, Cook and Simpson “couldn’t hide their feelings” for each other at the Hollywood hotspot Hyde, according to the mag, even though the two maintain that they’re “just friends.”

“They looked like two people trying not to look like a couple but who really wanted to rip each other’s clothes off,” a “witness” told L&S, which also reports that at 2 a.m. the two planned a rendezvous at a gas station.

How sexy - a gas station. I wonder if she wore shoes like Britney? Jessica is now at her home away form home, The NYC Ritz Carlton. Expect her to start promoting her new single A Public Affair.

The role of Lucy Ewing was being sought after by many in young Hollywood. Names like Jessica, Lindsay, Paris, and Kristin were being thrown around as the possible actresses to work with J Lo and John Travolta in the big screen version of the hit TV show. Turns out producers went in another direction and took a virtually unknown actress named Katie Cassidy, the daughter of David Cassidy. US Weekly reports:

7th Heaven actress Katie Cassidy, 19, has beaten out Jessica Simpson and Kristin Cavallari for the role that they were both up for in the new Dallas movie (also starring J. Lo and John Travolta’s enormous head). Cassidy, who is the daughter of former teen idol David Cassidy and most recently starred in the film Click, will play the character Lucy Ewing.

“Producers wanted to steer clear of the drama and also thought Katie was simply better for the role,” a source tells Us Weekly.

And by staying away from drama that meant that J Lo supposedly did not want another diva on the set. I wonder if the producers saw how easily Katie seems to be able to go from innocent to provocative?
