Eva Longoria showed sympathy for the Writers Guild of America strikers yesterday afternoon with pizza while Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy picked up signs and joined the crowd outside the Desperate Housewives set. DH will officially shut down production tomorrow, being the first show to do so. Buzz is keeping us up to date on how the strike will affect our favorite shows — including the news that 24 is delayed indefinitely and The Office only has two more episodes before it goes into reruns. I can only imagine how hard it is for the writers, who are sacrificing paychecks that pale in comparison to the stars on their shows. It's a little bit heartening that actors like Eva are supporting the people who are there to feed her the amazing plot lines she and her colleagues get to work with. For everyone's sake, hopefully the two sides are able to negotiate a better deal soon.

After a few days of laying low Britney was out light fixture shopping again last night before grabbing dinner with her friend Sam in LA. Yesterday was full of all sorts of bad news for Britney — coming in at No. 2 and being ordered to pay for Kevin's legal bills. Plus, Kevin's lawyer will be back in court tomorrow claiming that Britney hasn't been complying with the drug tests in a timely manner. In the end though, that's just more to add on to Britney's crazy year. Just think, one year ago today (seriously) Britney filed for divorce from Kevin. That's kinda crazy, right? Now, Britney's mom Lynne is speaking out about her daughter to Life & Style. Here's what she had to say:

"I blame myself...What mother wouldn’t?...I wish I’d been there more while she was touring...But I couldn’t be. I had the other kids [Britney’s brother, Bryan, now 30, and sister Jamie-Lynn, now 16] to look after...I didn’t raise my children to have Hollywood careers...This all just exploded in my face, and big dreams became big headaches....I do blame myself."

While it's sad to hear Lynne's words, at least she realizes that childhood fame (especially on Britney's level) can lead to a very, very difficult transition into adulthood. I just hope that this isn't some sort of self-promotion for that supposed parenting book she is writing — Britney needs more help than that.

Lindsay Lohan has been hard at work filming Dare to Love Me and soon after that she should start work on Poor Things. Beyond that LL's agenda is basically blank, but that might be about to change. Apparently there are rumors on the set of Ugly Betty that Lindsay is in talks for a 3 episode stint on the show playing a fallen beauty queen who Betty tries to help get a job at Mode. While for now this is hearsay, we have to say that we're excited about this news — we can totally hear her awesome banter with Amanda already.

Lenny Kravitz looked ultra cool heading into the recording studio in NYC yesterday. As big fans of both his music and his looks, we're excited to see that he's back at work in the studio. Vince Vaughn has been making his way around the country promoting Fred Claus, which hits theaters this Friday. Over the weekend he got to drive the official pace truck at the 2007 Dickies 500 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series in Fort Worth, and after stopping over in Chicago for some pizza, he made his way to the MTV studios to appear on TRL. He might have skipped the festive red and green attire, but he spread some holiday cheer by testing his gift wrapping abilities. We can't imagine what would be on Vince's personal wish list this year, but Geek may have a few ideas in mind since apparently he doesn't even own a cell phone!

Jessica Alba made her way through security at LAX on Monday with no Cash by her side. Her freaky new movie Awake comes out in just a couple weeks, but it's her next role that has people talking... since it might be on Broadway. Jessica is in talks to join a revival of Speed-the-Plow, a 1980s satire about Hollywood. This would be Jessica's first time on Broadway, just like one of the play's original cast members: Madonna. Jessica's acting has never struck me as Broadway material, but hey, I'm always open to be surprised.
