Johnny Depp put on a dapper suit with some snazzy red accents (but kept the scuffed up shoes) for last night's NYC premiere of Sweeney Todd. Of course, his partner, friend and director Tim Burton was there to show off his newest masterpiece, but both gentlemen's ladyfolk opted out. Also flying solo for the evening was new dad Sacha Baron Cohen, though I can't blame Isla for wanting to stay home with amazingly adorable Olive. Zachary Quinto — exciting Sylar stuff last night, eh? — dressed it up with a turtleneck sweater (see: Heroes Rule). We've still got a few more weeks to wait for the December 21 release date, but hopefully before then we'll get more of their red and black (oooh, gruesome) themed premieres to tide us over until then.

Nicole and Joel launched their children's foundation yesterday in LA with a surprise baby shower for 100 new moms and moms-to-be. Nicole looked stylish in her cute maxi dress while Joel worked on his protective daddy stance. The couple had a lot of fun giving out gifts, which included over $200,000 worth of baby products from Fisher-Price. Nicole said, "The looks on their faces were priceless. Some of them didn't even believe us [when they saw the gifts]. They thought we were joking." Joel added how important it was for him and Nicole to connect with the greater LA community. Considering less than a year ago Nicole was driving the wrong way down the freeway in the middle of the night, who would have thought they'd seem so ready to be parents now?

Keira Knightley was stone faced at the New York premiere of Atonement last night. Otherwise, she looks pretty perfect, but I wish she didn't seem so miserable (eh, not that she cares what anyone thinks). By her side was her similarly somber costar James McAvoy. Lighten up a little guys, you're celebrating your own movie! Masi Oka was also in the house, filling the requirement that there be at least one cast member from Heroes at every single party or event ever. Meanwhile, what happened to Jason Lewis? He was Absolut Hunk, and now he just looks kinda greasy. Hopefully he'll be back to being sweet and dreamy when he reprises the role of Smith Jarrod in the Sex and the City movie.

Kate Hudson and Eva Mendes looked downright giddy leaving the Dolce & Gabbana store opening in NYC yesterday. While D&G may not be our favorite, we totally understand how couture can put any girl in a great mood. Despite the windy December day in Manhattan, both ladies managed to show off some gorgeous hair. We're also surprised that both women braved it with partially bare legs, but at least they had big coats to keep plenty warm.
