Hairspray Party Still Going Strong
The cast of Hairspray kept the party going long after the film premiered in NYC. The star-studded cast is obviously very excited for their movie to hit the theaters this weekend, and it sounds like they couldn't be more proud of their project. The film had special meaning for its star Nikki Blonsky, who makes her debut in the movie and can't wait to spread the message behind Hairspray. She said,
"This has just been the most incredible dream come true for me. This is everything I've ever wanted and more -- just to get out there and show the world that different is great and uniqueness is beautiful, and that's what it's all about."
Hairspray is a classic and yet we're so looking forward to checking out this remake. Who doesn't get excited for a fun, feel-good musical? To hear more about Nikki's first experience in the movie industry, check out Buzz's exclusive interview here.

Tara Reid Not Ready To Rock The One Piece
For better or for worse, Tara is certainly not ashamed to show off her body. Though her original surgical efforts were, admittedly, borne of vanity (who amongst us is completely free of that?), I'm starting to feel bad for the flack she catches in magazines and on the internet. Since last fall, Tara has been totally open about her botched liposuction and breast enhancement, which she has since attempted to fix (with moderate success). You have to commend her (a little?) for being confident with herself these days -- despite all the horrible things written about her body every time she goes for a swim. That can't feel great, right?

Heidi's A Top Model
Heidi may be getting ready to film the fourth season of Project Runway, but she still has down time to shop in Beverly Hills with Henry. How cute is his mischievous little grin? Maybe it's because he knows his mommy is a super successful model. In fact, she was just named third of the world's top earning models. Chris O'Donnell Is In Good Company
Chris O'Donnell was looking almost as dreamy as his Circle of Friends/Mad Love days last night at a screening of his new TNT miniseries The Company in LA. Chris hasn't had excellent luck on TV series in recent years (either written off or all together canceled), but I do love seeing those baby blues back on the small screen. This new show which premieres August 5, is produced by Ridley Scott and centers around the double lives of Cold War Era CIA agents. It sounds interesting, but anything that helps keep Chris in our living rooms for at least a little while longer is fine by me.

Paris Has New Pets And Projects
Paris hit the beach in Malibu this weekend to soak up some rays and play with her new pint-sized puppy and we're not referring to her new boy-toy, the 21 year old clothing entrepreneur from Australia named Tyler Atkins. Although it may look like she is on a constant vacation, she's also taking work seriously and has resumed voice lessons as she prepares for her sophomore album. Even though she had a hit summer song last year, we're still waiting to tell you about all the charity work we had heard so much about.
Lindsay Healthy By Day, Healthy By Night
Lindsay Lohan kept her elective SCRAM (Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring) anklet hidden under jeans shopping during the day and stopping by her old haunt, Winston's, at night. At the bar, the starlet kept her hands full with water and Red Bull. Her friends even stayed away from the booze in support of LL as she flirted with Chris Evans who was seated near her table. Hey, a girl's gotta have her fun somehow. She may still need a monitor to keep her from being tempted, but at least she's got back her smile.

David Duchovny Returns to Small Screen and Maybe The Big Screen as Agent Mulder
BuzzSugar declared Californication as one of the reasons to watch TV this summer and we're counting down to the premiere along with our favorite Showtime series, Weeds (now hopefully improved with the adorable MK!). We've been waiting for the return of David Duchovny ever since the season finale of X-Files in 2002. We got one X-Files movie, but we were told many more were to come to fruition. Now it seems as if it may be one step closer to happening. DD said key members are on board and he's getting a script soon.
Another reason to tune into Showtime's Californication - the series includes Natascha McElhone, Jim Carrey's love interest from one of my all time favorite movies, The Truman Show!

NBC Comedy-ers Answer The Really Tough Questions
As you know Buzz is covering the Summer TCAs to report the latest network news as they promote their fall programming. Pop came along for the NBC ride and boy am I glad to be here. The network announced lots of great news (Welcome back Jerry Seinfeld), launching more online content a la Heroes and live chatting during your favorite shows. Here are some highlights so far from a Pop point of view:
- Andy Samberg totally dodging the dating Natalie Portman question with this response: "pretty much every host that comes to the show, we all sleep with, so it's written into the contract when you get there --- so by those standards, yes"
- Scrubs Exec-Producer, Bill Lawrence joking that the highly anticipated remake of Fletch won't happen since "Neither Zach or John would star in it, so i was screwed." He then shifted back the topic to TV but we're still holding out for that movie to make it on the big screen.
- Tina Fey admitting that of NBC's two backstage life at a sketch comedy series, she had no doubt hers would be the one to last. Studio 60 is gone but Tina said she knew "100 percent" that her show would survive. She said, "I have a nasty SNL competitive streak in me, so I'm going to say 150 percent."
- Adorable cardigan wearing John Krasinski feeling a blow to the ego as exec producer Greg Daniels admits that the Pam and Jim story line is a "B plot." At that point, John joked and stood up and said, "good night" to the crowd but lucky for us he did not actually leave.
- Other observations: Jason Lee was practically mute (boo); Tina Fey is getting prettier everyday; Zach Braff is cuter in person while Andy Samberg needs a new hoodie.
