Rihanna and Chris Brown did a little of what they do best — luxury shopping at LV and Gucci — in Paris yesterday. The romantic city is perfect for the stylish couple in their various matching black, white and gray pieces. Rihanna is in town to perform on Star Academy and if the viewers are lucky they'll get a steamy cameo by Chris on stage as a bonus. Rih has your favorite short haircut of the year and she recently talked about what it does for her saying, "My hair definitely inspired different things like how I dress, the swagger. I became more confident and more comfortable with myself. . . I like to have an edge to it, no matter what it is that I'm doing. It's really cool when I see people in the audience with the same hair as I have. It's very flattering. Not too long ago I was that person in the audience." She's come a long way in the past few years and with Chris by her side, these two should only get bigger in 2009.

Kate Bosworth and James Rousseau spent another night out in LA doing some holiday shopping on Thursday, though instead of hitting up Barneys like they did on Wednesday, they visited Nordstrom at The Grove. The location might have been different, but Kate was still rocking the acid-wash Topshop jeans and Chloe bag she loves so much. If James is at a loss as to what to get his girl for Christmas, maybe he can pick up a couple pieces that can become her new wardrobe staples for 2009.

After getting dressed up on Wednesday, Penelope Cruz looked casual heading to another screening of Vicky Cristina Barcelona last night. This time she was at the BAFTA headquarters in London, and promoting the film must be even sweeter now that she's picked up a SAG nomination for her performance. Penelope never has a problem wowing us, but we're even more interested in whether we'll see her with Javier again to put the rumors to rest and keep this sexy couple going strong in 2009.

After debuting his documentary in NYC on Wednesday, Ben Affleck was back with his girls, picking up Violet from school in LA yesterday. Seems like Ben should keep the world traveling to a minimum for the time being with Jennifer looking like she's about to pop any week now. It's almost time for holiday break from preschool for Violet, who will soon learn the fun of school vacation — lucky girl.

Miley Cyrus continued to skyrocket to fame in 2009, becoming a worldwide superstar that some compare to Britney Spears. However, Miley found herself in the midst of a scandal after posing for a Vanity Fair photo shoot with Annie Leibovitz in April. The main photo of Miley draped in a bed sheet with her bare back exposed had parents very upset that the then-15-year-old Disney role model was setting a bad example for her fans. Her parents made it seem like they had left the shoot early, although VF claimed the opposite and defended the photo, while Annie argued that the picture was just "misunderstood."

Miley issued an apology to her fans saying that the shoot was "supposed to be 'artistic'" but that she was now "embarrassed." Disney thought the magazine took advantage of the teen star and even vowed to keep Miley out of the spotlight until the storm passed, which had intensified after personal photographs of Miley were leaked on the Internet. She also got in a bit of trouble when she and a friend made a video mocking Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. Since then, things have calmed down for the young singer, and in a recent interview she stated she'd love to work with Annie again and maybe even take up photography herself.
