Paris Hilton may have been getting close with her ex Simon Rex in LA last weekend, but Valentine's Day was all about Vegas and sisterhood. She and Nicky partied the night away at LAX to celebrate the new collection from Chick, just the night after Paris' own clothing party. The heiress is clearly enjoying her time in sin city, but all is not well back at her LA homestead. After telling the world that she has 17 dogs during her Monday interview on Ellen the local animal services people went to investigate. Too many doggies (not to mention her zoo of other animals)! Unfortunately, the house is under construction and no one is living there. I'm sure the pooch patrol will want to be in touch with her when she's back in town.

Lauren Conrad and Audrina Patridge didn't have any male company for Valentine's Day this year, but that doesn't mean they were dateless. They decided to make a girls' night of it, putting on their fancy party dresses and heading to Goa together. LC has definitely had her share of boy drama, apparently but she isn't one for sitting at home moping. She said, "I think every single girl dreads Valentine’s Day. [Audrina and I] will probably make it fun." Seems like a good idea to us, especially since Hollywood nightlife kept LC far far away from Heidi and Spencer's nauseating V-Day at sea.

While we didn't get to see any of her romantic V-Day celebrating with Cash, Jessica Alba was out shopping for her upcoming baby Valentine yesterday afternoon in LA. She was all decked out in her cute purple-accented outfit while she picked up some baby things. The Eye was a box office and critical bust, but I'm sure there's more than enough baby stuff to keep her busy and put a (rare) smile on her face.

Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman slipped into a couple of sexy numbers for the red carpet premiere of The Other Boleyn Girl at the Berlinale Film Festival today. Scarlett wore a more simple dress to balance her teased hair and dramatic eyeliner, while Natalie made it very clear that she's not the prude good girl she often gets pegged for. Once again, the girls talked about how well they got along on the set and how much they respect one another. Natalie said, "People keep asking if the rivalry was real but it was the opposite because we just liked each other so much. It was such a rare opportunity to work with an actress my age who I much admire."

Kate Beckinsale likes to keep things casual when she's not lighting up the red carpet, but yesterday she and a pal hit up Fred Segal in LA to shop for some designer clothes. A late birthday present for her daughter Lily, perhaps? Or... maybe Kate believes that the best Valentine's Day gifts are ones you pick out yourself. Either way, hopefully she picked up a couple of cute things to go with her Zahara Jolie-Pitt inspired bag.
