ShoWest came to a close last night after days of studios sharing their upcoming movies to theater owners from across the country. The festivities closed with an award ceremony where Kate Bosworth struck a pose in her much more tame outfit to celebrate 21, which was recognized with a best ensemble cast. Sarah Jessica Parker showed off her Vanguard award and cited Woody Allen as her inspiration. Anne Hathaway received the Female Star of the Year while Robert Downey Jr was the Male star. Anne also was there to promote Get Smart with Steve Carell while Mommy Maggie Gyllenhaal was there with Batman Christian Bale to plug The Dark Knight.

O. M. G. Cuteness. Take those usual Ryan Phillippe working out drools and turn them into awwwwws, because this time his mini me Deacon was along for the afternoon. They even had matching hats! Heart, melt. My girl Lil proudly deemed him a sugardaddy and I totally agree. While the track is still a bit too big for little Deacon, he happily sat on the sidelines playing with his iPod while Ryan did his laps. That's one track I wouldn't mind making a visit to. Seriously, on a scale of one to ten how smashy and adorable (and, um, hot) are all these photos? A million.

Paris Hilton threw herself and, well, herself a party to celebrate the official announcement of her new MTV competition show, Paris Hilton's My New BFF in LA last night. Well, to be fair, Benji Madden was there to support his super serious girlfriend's new endeavor. While P selected some lucky people from her MySpace friends to come to the party, it looks like anyone can try out to be her new BFF or vote for who you think should be at the show's website, ParisBFF.com. Um, so who's trying out? And how ridiculous is this show going to be?

Spotted: two of the stars of our favorite guilty pleasure getting back to work on the set of Gossip Girl! Leighton Meester and Chace Crawford took a break from their lives of perfect hair and makeup to shoot what looks like a very stormy scene. We can't help but make some speculations about where our elite high schoolers will take us next (will Blair get her wish for a reunion with Nate?), but these photos are a fun teaser for new episodes to come back next month.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz took a break from the drawn out doldrums of Winter and hopped off to Jamaica for some fun in the sun on Monday. Ashlee showed off her smokin' bikini body (seriously, lucky girl doesn't seem to be much of a gym rat) pool side, keeping the sun off her face with a fedora the whole time. Hopefully Pete knows how fortunate he is to have such a PYT hanging off him in the pool. You all seemed pretty split on Ashlee's Us Weekly plastic surgery admission, but there's no doubt that she's a) happy b) smitten and c) looking great these days, so yay for Ash.

Kate Bosworth is looking gorgeous as ever on the cover of the April issue of Marie Claire showing off her sexy wavy hair. Now that she's in promotion mode for 21, we have a feeling we'll be seeing Kate show off lots of red carpet looks, but in the interview we get a glimpse of how down-to-earth she really is. Here are highlights:

• On getting older: "I just turned 25, which was a weird one. I feel like I had this quarter-century crisis. Whenever I said before that I was 21 or 22, everyone would say, 'Oh, see, you're so young.' And all of a sudden, you hit 25, and people say, "Oh, right, uh, OK.' And you're like, 'Uh, what do you mean?"
• On relationships: "Orlando and I were both in the public eye. So this [current] relationship [with model James Rousseau] has been a little easier that way. And I feel like I'm in a different stage of my life, to be honest. With Orlando, we were younger."
• On her upbringing: "I'm an only child, and I think I was raised as a tomboy in a certain sense. My father was outside playing sports with me all the time. One of the first things he did was teach me how to throw. Whenever you see someone blonde, people immediately think she was a cheerleader or a sorority sister or something. And I was never that type."

Love that Kate can mix girly-girl and tomboy and still manage to look fabulous at all times. As for James, we're big fans of Orlando's but it's hard to imagine Kate doing anything these days without her cute boy by her side.
