Cast of Characters
Leighton Meester traded NYC and Gossip Girl for LA and Adrian Grenier yesterday as she filmed a scene for Entourage.
A New Dream Car for Dempsey?
Between playing official race car driver and the collection he already has, everyone knows Patrick Dempsey loves his wheels. Yesterday he considered treating himself to another one as he drove his Porsche to check out the Jaguar dealership in LA. We're all glad to have Grey's back even though we're already gearing up for the big finale event in two weeks. While you wouldn't be heartbroken if Katherine Heigl left the show, hopefully we don't have to worry about Dr. Shepherd leaving us to pursue the rebirth of his movie career.
Julia and Clive Could Be Double Trouble For the Pop 100
Julia Roberts flashed that famous smile on the set of Duplicity in NYC yesterday while her co-star Clive Owen showed off how he makes stern look hot. Clive's got no problem with gaining female fans, but last year it wasn't enough to score him a coveted spot on the PopSugar 100, which means you've got some work to do if you want to see him make the cut this time around. Julia came in at No. 8, so something tells us she has nothing to worry about in keeping a place on the list.
In order to help move the needle, make sure to check out the celebrity profile pages and become a fan and vote on the 5 factors: likability, talent, looks, class and style. Then stay tuned to see where they land on the 2nd Annual PopSugar 100!
Ladies Love to Nurse Clooney's Wounded Ego
As much as it breaks our hearts, George Clooney only has eyes for Sarah Larson these days, but that certainly doesn't mean there aren't a whole lot of women willing to give it a try. On Tuesday when he showed up for a shoot for Esquire's upcoming 75th anniversary issue, apparently he had the whole office swooning as he danced with different staffers. From there he continued his tour of NYC with a screening for Leatherheads where he joked about the movie's success, or lack thereof. He said:
"[Leatherheads] bombed and when I say bombed, it bombed. Someone said, 'How does that feel?' and it stings a little bit. It's not like we just showed up: I was working on this for a couple years and put a lot of work into it, and you get knocked back a little bit.
The trick is how you handle things when things don't go great. It's easy when things are doing well. The people I most admire are the people who handle it when the studio says that's really underperformed and they say, 'Ow, that hurt.' I've been a fan of watching people go through cycles, not just winning cycles."
Aw, don't be sad Clooney! While I'm sure it hurt to see his labor of love beaten down at the box office, he's still got a lot of great things going for him. Plus, hearing the most suave star in Hollywood talk about his wounded ego is perhaps the most endearing thing of all.
