Simon Cowell let his open life jacket fly free during a day of jet skiing in Barbados on Saturday. The X Factor mastermind and judge is known to spend his holidays relaxing in the world's most luxurious spots, and this time is no exception. Last Christmas Simon was shirtless in St. Barts and his tan will once again be perfect to kick off a new year. Simon's X Factor crowned its first stateside winner last week, and while the show will be coming back for a second season, there may be some shifts coming up. Host Steve Jones is rumored to not be returning, and apparently Nicole Scherzinger may also be leaving X Factor. Simon is here to stay, however, and for now he has some downtime after crowning 19-year-old Melanie Avaro victorious.

Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy joined her family, including mom Goldie Hawn, for lunch out in Aspen on Saturday. Later, the couple stopped by James Perse. Goldie and Kurt Russell gather their family in Colorado every year for Christmas, and this time Kate and Matt arrived just in time for the festivities. Kurt and Goldie arrived in the Winter wonderland earlier this week and have been spotted shopping around town and enjoying the familiar scene. This is Matthew's second year joining in on the annual Aspen tradition, and in 2010 he made a splash in a bright orange ski suit to hit the slopes. Kate and Matt's Baby Bingham didn't come along for the outing yesterday, though Kate's brother Oliver and his wife Erinn Bartlett did round out the crew.

Jessica Simpson looked festive in her red plaid coat out in LA with her mom Tina and nephew Bronx Wentz on Friday. Jessica sported sweats as she helped swing smiley Bronx into the air as they took care of some final holiday shopping — are you looking for last-minute gift ideas? The men in Jessica's life are already covered, however, since she tweeted earlier in the week that she cleared out the John Varvatos store for all her "studly" guys. She also appears to be taking care of her own wish list, since Jessica was spotted wedding dress shopping at the Monique Lhuillier boutique. Jessica and Eric's "I dos" will come after the arrival of baby, so 2012 is already shaping up to be pretty special for Miss Simpson.
