The Las Vegas lights got a little brighter tonight with the stars of country music shining on the red carpet at the 46th annual Academy of Country Music Awards. Nominee and performer Carrie Underwood arrived in a floor length purple gown while Nicole Kidman chose a sexy black dress to escort Keith Urban. Taylor Swift took a break from touring to get in on the action and Julianne Hough made the trip to Sin City with her boyfriend Ryan Seacrest. Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard hit the beach in Kauai, Hawaii late last month during a tropical getaway. Ramona was along for the adventure as well but kept to the beach while mom and dad waited for their perfect set of waves. Maggie also showed off her amazing bikini body during the sweet family vacation. Peter's ramping up for a hectic few months ahead as he and the cast of the Green Lantern begin promoting their action adventure flick. His costars Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were in San Francisco for WonderCon this weekend to chat up the film and debut a new four minute teaser. Ryan talked to Buzz about the intensity of the role and working on the highly anticipated "space epic" while Blake shared the inside scoop on her "butt-kicking" character. It was a big weekend for Maggie's side of the family too with her brother Jake's latest big-screen project, Source Code, taking the number two spot at the box office.

Michael Vartan married his beautiful bride, Lauren Skaar, at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, CA yesterday. The pair met two years ago in a Whole Foods parking lot and the two got engaged in March of 2010. Lauren wore Vera Wang for her big day, and added her own touch with the addition of an Oscar de la Renta belt! The actor flashed his brand-new ring after the ceremony, where they shared a passionate first kiss as husband and wife. It was an Alias reunion as well, as Victor Garber was one of the groomsmen! Interestingly enough, Garber also served as the officiant in Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck's wedding. Michael and Lauren's honeymoon will apparently have to wait, since he's currently shooting Hawthorne. It looked like a perfect, sunny afternoon and a gorgeous event. Congrats to the newlyweds!

Angelina Jolie arrived at LAX today in her typical travel ensemble of head-to-toe black and looked every bit the movie star in dark sunglasses. Angelina and Brad Pitt enjoyed a kids-free getaway in Utah last week and it looks like from there she headed to LA. Brad has been in New Orleans filming Cogan's Trade and last weekend he and Angelina were spotted out with all six kids in the city! The Jolie-Pitts are right at home in the Big Easy, and perhaps next month they'll be making another trip to familiar territory. Brad's movie Tree of Life is expected to premiere at Cannes, which will hopefully mean they'll make it yet another family affair.
