The CMT Music Awards lit up Nashville tonight with country's brightest stars coming together to celebrate music. Actress Nicole Kidman escorted her husband, Keith Urban, down the red carpet before taking their seats and chatting with Shania Twain, Justin Bieber, and the members of Sugarland. Fresh off a win at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards Justin added another statue to his trophy case, sharing the collaborative video of the year award with Rascal Flatts for "That Should Be Me." Sheryl Crow strutted onto the stage for a duet with Kid Rock and showed off her legs in a daringly short skirt before giving Kid a big embrace at the end of their performance. A few major names, and winners, were unable to make the show due to scheduling conflicts. Taylor Swift took home the win for video of the year and although she taped the show's opening skit with Shania she had to accept her statue via satellite. The Voice's Blake Shelton missed the show, but he still took home the win for best male video and best web video of the year. First time attendees American Idol winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina were welcomed with a roaring applause from the crowd before introducing Sugarland to the stage.

Emma Stone wore a bright and breezy feathered dress during her beachside cover shoot for July's Elle magazine — check out all the amazing pictures and full article on Elle.com. Emma is still rocking her blond hair in the spread, which she dyed for her role as Gwen Stacey in the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man, but has gone back to red since the pictures were taken. It's not the only transformation that Emma, who picked up a best female performance popcorn statuette for her Easy A role at last weekend's MTV Movie Awards, has undergone this year. She opened up to the glossy about her seemingly overnight change from relative unknown to superstar and how she's handling the transition. Emma wasn't afraid to reflect on what she's learned about life during her whirlwind year, but her signature sense of humor was also on full display during the interview. Here are highlights:

  • On why her fame feels surreal: “It’s so funny how different life could have been. I went to so many auditions. I remember my audition for Heroes. I went in right after Hayden Panettiere. Now here we are in this rented house. It feels like it just happened.”
  • On how she's enjoying her success: “These past two years, I’ve stopped having to remind myself to be present, which has been the greatest gift. Because I know it’s so fleeting. I’ll kick my ass later on if I don’t enjoy it right now. But it does make you realize that so much of the joy of it is the journey. The struggle is such a lovely part of it.”
  • On feeling comfortable in her own skin: “I like to look like a person. It drives me crazy when you see women in movies playing teachers, and they have biceps. It totally takes me out of the movie. I start thinking, 'Wow, that actress playing this part really looks great!'”
  • On why she won't talk about her former boyfriend, Kieran Culkin: “You have to keep some things sacred."

Nikki Reed and her fiancé, Paul McDonald, were spotted on their way out of Crunch in LA yesterday. The duo followed up their workout with a few errands before Nikki took care of some business on her own at an office building. Nikki and Paul announced their engagement at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, when Nikki walked the red carpet wearing her brand-new diamond eternity ring. It's been a whirlwind romance for the couple, who met in March and are already living together. They apparently have plans to move to a larger home so that Paul can continue working on his music, while Nikki wants do theater and go back to school. First, though, Paul will hit the road for the American Idol tour, which he's already started rehearsing for. Nikki, meanwhile, will have Breaking Dawn promotion on her plate ahead of the film's November release, and it seems she's looking forward to reuniting with the cast. Nikki said about the end of Twilight filming: "We know we're going to see each other, so it wasn't super dramatic."

While filming The Dark Knight Rises, Anne Hathaway accidentally hit a stuntman with the butt of a prop gun during a fight scene, giving him a black eye. According to reports, the actress, who plays Catwoman in the film, was mortified and gave the poor guy a silver pen engraved with the message, "Remember no one packs a punch like Anne."
