Reese Witherspoon capped off a successful 2011 with a family trip to Hawaii. The actress was spotted floating in the surf with kids Ava and Deacon, and chatting with friends on the shore. Reese kept her tummy tattoo hidden under a green halter, though later changed into two-piece comprised of a red rash guard and blue bottoms.

Reese is gearing up for the Feb. 17 release of her next romantic comedy, This Means War. She shares the big screen with hot guys Tom Hardy and Chris Pine, along with her real-life pal Chelsea Handler. She'll likely hit the promotional tour later this month prior to the premiere, and from there it's on to her next big role. Reese signed on to star in The Devil's Knot, a drama based on a book about the murder of three young boys in Arkansas.

Rachel Zoe had a fashion summit on the beach in St. Barts yesterday. The stylist-turned-designer chilled on lounge chairs with her pal Marc Jacobs, who was appropriately decked out in gear and towels from the design house he oversees, Louis Vuitton. Marc's possibly on-again love interest Lorenzo Martone showed his loyalty in a pair of LV-designed swim trunks. Jimmy Choo founder Tamara Mellon was also there decked out in a red two-piece for the afternoon on the sand. Tamara actually left Choo in November and is reportedly seeking to launch another exclusive label. She and her daughter Minty are celebrating the big changes on vacation together. Tamara shared on Twitter that the girls have been stuffing themselves with crepes.

The holiday is also a family gathering for Rachel, whose husband Rodger Berman joined in on the sandy fun. Their young son Skyler came along too, and he was ready for the sun in an adorable white hat. Rachel's wrapping up her holiday vacation in the Caribbean. She's sharing well-wishes with fans, and tweeted yesterday, "Wishing everyone a healthy, happy and most glamorous 2012 from paradise."

The entire Garner-Affleck crew — Jennifer, Ben, Violet, Seraphina, Ben's mom Chris, and their two dogs — took a walk in Pacific Palisades yesterday. The family spent their holidays close to home in LA with Jen, who wore an Autumn Cashmere sweater for the stroll, due to give birth to her third child in the next few weeks. Ben and Jen have many exciting events to look forward to in 2012, but it looks like their first order of business is celebrating Seraphina's 3rd birthday on Friday! Their youngest daughter got an early birthday treat when Jen took Seraphina to get her nails painted at a local salon.

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis were arm in arm for a coffee date in the Big Apple yesterday. The pair celebrated New Year's Day in NYC after returning from a holiday trip together to Jason's hometown in Kansas. Olivia and Jason went public with their romance while visiting his family in the Midwest, attending a Kansas University Jayhawks game together on Thursday night, both of them decked out in team gear.

The pair have apparently been dating for at least a month, with Olivia attending SNL afterparties hand in hand with her new guy. Olivia, whose divorce from Italian prince Tao Ruspoli was finalized this Fall, was linked to several hot Hollywood guys after she split from her husband. Nonetheless, Jason is the first she's stepped out with since then. Jason's last high-profile romance was with January Jones, but the pair parted ways early last year, several months before she announced that she was expecting her first child as single mother.

Ryan Gosling rang in 2012 from NYC and spent New Year's Day at the movies with his mother, Donna, and girlfriend, Eva Mendes. The trio stopped in an uptown theater to catch a film with Eva taking a separate cab from the mother-son duo. Ryan has two more weeks to kick back and relax before his exciting awards season begins. Ryan's due back in LA Jan. 15 for the Golden Globe Awards where's he's nominated in two categories — don't forget to fill out your Golden Globe predictions to be entered for a chance to win $1,000.

Ryan could head back to the West Coast a few days early to support his friend, and Ides of March director, George Clooney, at next weekend's Palm Springs International Film Festival. George is being honored with the Chairman's Award for his impressive body of work in front of and behind the camera. There are lots of upcoming parties, events, and awards shows in Ryan's future and the lucky actor has at least two lovely ladies ready to be his lucky date.
