Brad Pitt's Make It Right was the focus of attention during an afternoon in New Orleans yesterday. He checked in on some of the organization's architecture projects in the city's Lower Ninth Ward along with pal Elle DeGeneres. Later in the evening, Brad and Ellen met up with her wife, Portia de Rossi, for dinner at Tonique Bar. It was just announced that Brad will host a charity gala to benefit Make It Right. He and Ellen are cohosting the event at NOLA's Hyatt Regency tonight, and celeb guests like Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg, Sean Penn, and Blake Lively are expected. Rihanna and Kanye West are slated to perform. There is even an afterparty planned, with Aziz Ansari emceeing performances from Seal and Lil Wayne.

Ben Affleck ran errands in LA yesterday with his oldest child, Violet Affleck. They took care of business while Jennifer Garner was off with the youngest Garner-Afflecks, Seraphina and Samuel. Baby Samuel arrived in the world two weeks ago. The proud parents confirmed his arrival with a post on Ben's new Facebook wall. The post read, "We are happy to announce on February 27, Jennifer gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Samuel Garner Affleck." Ben's also using Facebook to talk about his projects. In a recent video discussing the DVD release of The Town, Ben joked about his '70s-era haircut. He said the look is very "Barry Gibb in the Bee Gees," but the longer 'do is really to get into character for his next directorial project, Argo.
Prince Harry was welcomed to Brazil last night with a gala! He threw on a suit to meet with dignitaries in Rio as part of an event in coordination with the UK's GREAT promotional campaign, which Victoria Beckham and Anna Wintour launched in NYC last month. This morning, Harry played volleyball on Flamengo Beach along with some youngsters. He's the only British royal currently in Rio, but Harry's family may have felt near thanks to the Prince William, Queen Elizabeth, and Prince Charles masks donned by some onlookers. Harry got into the spirit himself, reportedly wearing William's mask when doing a charity run in the afternoon. Harry and William love to keep up their sibling rivalry, and the younger prince took one further, good-natured dig today. During a speech, Harry said it's best William skipped out on the South American tour. Harry said of William, "Everything about Rio makes you want to dance. I'm just so thankful that my brother isn't here because he might actually do it . . . and that would not be cool."
