Washington DC was flooded with famous faces over the weekend for the 2013 presidential inauguration! The celebrities were more than happy to share their snaps through social media.
Alicia Keys's husband, Swizz Beatz, gushed over his hug with President Barack Obama during The Inaugural Ball. Katy Perry and John Mayer were also at the Ball and snapped a quick photo with Eric Benet and his daughter. At the swearing-in ceremony, Beyoncé Knowles sang the national anthem — but not before she got a quick pic with her mom, Tina. Wilmer Valderrama sat in the audience in front of the US Capitol to watch Obama give his big speech.

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom prepared for a flight out of LA with their 2-year-old son, Flynn, earlier today. Miranda's been traveling quite a bit over the last two weeks. She was in NYC, where she shot a new campaign for Mango, before landing back in California on Saturday. Prior to that trip, Miranda spent a month in LA with her boys. Orlando and Miranda had one especially big night out — they attended a Golden Globes afterparty on what was actually Orlando's 36th birthday. Unbeknownst to Orlando, Miranda and their friend Nina Dobrev arranged for a birthday surprise. Nina and Miranda had a cake sent to Orlando in the middle of the bash, and Nina tweeted, "We managed to embarrass you. Admit it!"
More shirtless Sean Lowe, a record-breaking kiss, a canine surprise, and more! Episode three of The Bachelor took us on an emotional — and literal — roller coaster. We've got the most lovable and laughable moments in this PopSugar Rush.
President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama shared a special first dance to Jennifer Hudson singing "Let's Stay Together" at The Inaugural Ball held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington DC last night. Michelle wore a glamorous red Jason Wu gown for the occasion, which came after the official swearing-in ceremony and parade earlier today. Beyoncé Knowles performed the national anthem at that event, but this evening Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley, and Stevie Wonder took the stage to sing. It's been a busy few days in our nation's capitol with plenty of celebrities attending inaugural festivities over the weekend and even more famous faces stepping out tonight. Echo Kellum might be one of the funniest things about Fox's freshman sitcom Ben and Kate, but before landing the role of Tommy, the actor and comedian had never before auditioned for a TV pilot. We sat down with him recently in LA to talk about landing the gig, where the flame Tommy harbors for Kate might lead this season, and even his passion for Twitter and politics. Ben and Kate airs on Fox tonight at 8:30/7:30 Central.
Charlize Theron was presented with an award for her humanitarian work today during the Crystal Award Ceremony at the World Economic Forum. The event, held at the Swiss resort of Davos, honored Charlize for her efforts in the fight to eradicate AIDS. The passionate 37-year-old actress donned a figure-flattering turquoise dress, black pumps, and her slightly grown-out pixie cut as she stepped up to the podium. After receiving her statuette from the wife of the organization's chairman, Hilde Schwab, she addressed the audience and joked that she was "getting smarter by osmosis."
Charlize's trip to Switzerland is her latest stop during a busy few months of travel. Charlize and her son, Jackson, vacationed in the South of France earlier this month after spending part of the Summer and Fall in her native South Africa, where she filmed Mad Max: Fury Road. The actress's charitable work continues even on the homefront — Charlize helped a friend move during the short time she was back in LA last week.
Shakira tweeted to her fans earlier today, asking for prayers on "this very important day" in her life. The hospital has confirmed that both mother and baby are in excellent health. Congrats to Shakira on her new bundle of joy!
POPSUGAR was on the scene at yesterday's inauguration in Washington DC. Culture editor Annie Scudder reported from the National Mall and the Inaugural Ball, where the president and first lady shared a special dance. We're recapping all the day's highlights — including adorable moments from the first daughters — in this PopSugar Rush.
