Throw a Rose-Worthy "Bachelorette" Party

Buy these Bachelor-themed bridal shower cards ($45 for 25), or make your own using The Bachelorette's logo to create a postcard, ecard, or letter invitation for the party. Example of text:

"In the most dramatic rose ceremony yet, will Heather be handing Mike the final rose? Find out Saturday, June 12, at 7 p.m. when you attend her exciting bachelorette finale. Join us at 1650 Gough St. for bubbly, appetizers, games, and to finish the night off, a little hot tubbing — Bachelorette-style. When it comes to dress code, think lots and lots of sparkle."

Create name tags that you can attach to each rose the girls receive as they arrive. Have one side say her name and the other side say the name of a past Bachelorette: Trista Rehn, Meredith Phillips, Jen Schefft, DeAnna Pappas, Jillian Harris, Ali Fedotowsky, Ashley Hebert, Emily Maynard, Desiree Hartsock, or Andi Dorfman. If you have a lot of guests, have the tags say "Team Trista," etc.

Long, flowy gowns, sequined minis, and sparkly adornments are a must for the party. You could have all the guests bring their fanciest dresses, jewelry, and heels ahead of time and start the night off right with a quick wardrobe change. And the bride-to-be should be in white!

Take a cue from this Bachelor-inspired party and decorate a pretty dessert table with a framed sign that reads "The Bachelorette" with the name of the bride-to-be. Don't forget the cake stands, champagne, and roses!

If you can, find a location (or guest's home) that has a hot tub. It just wouldn't be true to the show without it. And for what to sip in said hot tub . . .

Every episode ends with the congratulatory Champagne toast for the lucky fellows who survived the rose ceremony — be sure to have the bubbly flowing!

It's all about the rose. Hand each guest a chocolate rose when they arrive with their name tag attached. Decorate the location with fresh roses in vases and rose petals or rose confetti scattered on tabletops.

The Bachelorette mansion is always glowing with plenty of candlelight. Be sure to have candles setting the mood, but watch out for hair-sprayed hair!

Clear out a bookshelf or table for framed photos of all the guests' BFs and hubbies. Have them bring the pictures, or surprise them by retrieving them directly from the guys or taking them off Facebook. At the end of the night, they can take the frame and the photo with them as a gift.

Be inspired by the tablescapes at this Bachelor-themed party. Rose-patterned table runners, rosette name tags, and faux diamonds make for an elegant spread.

Besides the obvious reference . . . season five's Jillian Harris's major claim to fame was her hot dog theory, so it's fitting that one of the apps be hot dogs. If you go with pigs in a blanket, be sure to have them labeled "Jonathan aka the weatherman's weiners," after the Speedo incident.

For a twist on the typical bachelorette toilet-paper-dress games, try this trivia game. Ahead of time, have the bachelorette write up horrible date stories, one per flash card. Then have horrible date stories from The Bachelorette also written up on flash cards, and mix them together. Have the bride-to-be or the host read the cards aloud to the girls (either individually or in teams), and see if they know which is which! A couple of examples:

Q: I awkwardly sat through a dinner with two guys arguing the entire time.
A: Desiree Hartsock (play nice, Ben and Michael)

Q: A guy I was dating told me he lived at home (luckily he was kidding).
A: Emily Maynard (Sean's hometown-date prank)

Play pin the rose on Chris Harrison! Print out a large, full-size photo of the host extraordinaire and see if guests can get the rose on his lapel . . . or other regions.

Besides the rose, it's also all about the ring. Hand out gaudy light-up rings to the ladies for a fun parting gift.
