Kids love getting messy and creative, which is why we partnered with OxiClean™ for this post.

Hours will fly by with an artwork that will surprise your child. Water-soluble oil pastels are a fun trick — starting out just like a crayon but melting together once they mix with water. This two-step creation will delight your child and end up displayed on a wall once it's finished.

What You'll Need:

  • Canvas
  • Water-soluble oil pastels
  • Water
  • Paintbrushes

Directions:

  1. Offer your child the canvas and the oil pastels. Let her create a drawing of whatever she chooses, encouraging her to fill up the entire area with color.
  2. Once finished, remove the oil pastels and replace with a container of water and a variety of brushes. See what happens when the water hits the pastels!

  1. After she's finished, let the painting dry then display.
