What You'll Need:

  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 apple-cinnamon tea bags
  • 5-7 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 1 half-pint mason jar
  • Hammer
  • Nail
  • Wooden skewers

Directions:

  1. Place the oil in a small saucepan along with the tea bags and heat over medium heat for 20 minutes, infusing the oil with the scent.

  1. Remove the tea bags and discard. Add the cinnamon sticks to the mason jar and top with the hot oil, covering with the lid. Let set overnight.

  1. Use the nail and hammer to pop holes in the mason jar lid, making them large enough for the wooden skewers to fit. Work outdoors over grass or place a piece of scrap wood under the lid.
  2. Screw the top on the mason jar and feed the wooden skewers through the holes, finishing the scented jar.
