Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart touched down at LAX together this evening. The duo stayed a few steps apart after a similarly clandestine weekend of dinners together in NYC where Rob was spotted leaving while Kristen snuck out elsewhere! Rob and Kristen were apparently spotted making out while their fans all over the world headed out to make sure New Moon had a record breaking opening weekend.

New Moon cleaned up at the weekend box office, so naturally Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson let off a little steam after their many weeks of travel promoting the film. We already heard the duo skipped out on Thursday's official afterparty for something more private, and they were spotted at the members-only Soho House before moving on to the club Avenue — where People reports they were spotted making out! The togetherness continued with Friday's trip to La Esquina, a late Saturday night at the Upper West Side spot Dive Bar, and dinner last night at Megu.
Robert Pattinson Celebrates a Certifiably Big Weekend
Robert Pattinson hung around NYC after working hard to promote New Moon last week. He was able to join friends yesterday for dinner at Megu, and he was spotted on his way out in his usual jeans and sneakers. Robert's due for a little time off now that the film is a major hit — it broke the midnight screening record, had the biggest single day gross ever and went on to enjoy the third biggest opening weekend in history behind The Dark Knight and Spider-man 3.

First, it broke the midnight opening record, then it plowed through the single day one, now New Moon is estimated to round out the weekend with $140.7 million, which will make it the third biggest of all time. The cast promoted the movie tirelessly, but for this the credit goes to their amazing and loyal fan base! Robert, Kristen, Taylor and all their costars now have a moment to rest, relax with friends and enjoy the success of their latest piece of the saga.

It's official — all that promotion paid off! Summit Entertainment just released the news that New Moon had the biggest midnight opening of all time, raking in an estimated $26.27 million last night! It beat out Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as well as The Dark Knight.
Robert Talks to Ellen But Gets Cozy With Kristen
Robert Pattinson spent the week in NYC for the final leg of New Moon promotion, including one more screening last night, but before he went East, he stopped by to see Ellen DeGeneres. He opened up to Ellen about all sorts of topics, including a fan who actually took off her clothes — check out the three videos of their interview, which airs today.
