Natalie Portman Shoots Down Sean Rumors
Natalie Portman took a break from filming Hesher to address head on the rumors that she and Sean Penn are more than friends. She told Extra:
"Sean Penn is a friend and colleague. The reports that we are romantically involved are completely untrue.
Charlize and Stuart Dine With Sean, Without Natalie
Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend met up with Sean Penn on Wednesday for lunch in LA. Charlize and Stuart have returned to California after heading to Venice for Salma Hayek's wedding and quickly stopping in NYC, but Charlize found time in her busy schedule to pen a letter rallying for gay rights in California. Sean Penn is still technically married to Robin Wright Penn, but that hasn't historically gotten in the way of his friendships with starlets. The latest lady he's been linked to is Natalie Portman, and depending on the source, they were either chatting closely or passionately embracing and making out recently at the Sunset Towers hotel in LA. He and Natalie did get to know each other when they served on the jury of the Cannes Film Festival last year, he loves young ladies and the legendary actor has his appeal.
Sean Penn Eyes the White House From France
It looks like Sean Penn brought his formal wear along to Paris, as he left the Plaza Athenee hotel on both Thursday and Friday looking sharp in a suit. He jetted to France for the premiere of Milk and the Cesar Awards, though Sean's focus continues to be more domestic than foreign. His acceptance speech at the Oscars was about continuing the campaign for gay marriage in America, and Sean's hoping to get a screening of his film at the White House to bring the issue to President Obama's attention.

Sean Penn was at LAX yesterday on his way out of town with a garment bag to keep his suit carefully protected. Sean seems most comfortable in his leather jacket and sunglasses, but it was his red carpet look last week that put him in the running for our who was sexiest at the Oscars game. One piece of precious cargo he wasn't visibly carrying was the newest member of his trophy collection, but maybe Sean had already packed him up for safe keeping.

Come Inside the Governors Ball
After the big show in the Kodak Theater, the first stop for many of the attendees was the Governors Ball. Along with attending this year's Oscars via the red carpet and the press room, we were fortunate enough to have a ticket to the fancy affair. While on the inside we watched the celebrities feast on their Wolfgang Puck meal set in the Asian-themed room decor.
