There's no better way to get in the spirit of the season than by pouring a fizzy and festive cocktail like this sparkling pomegranate-elderflower concoction. It's blushing color is reminiscent of Fall sunsets and falling leaves, while the effervescent texture screams holiday.
The elderflower adds a hint of syrupy sweetness that's not cloying or overly floral.

I love pumpkin-flavored anything — pies, muffins, cheesecake, even ice cream! But gorging on too many sweet pumpkin treats can leave me with a sick stomach full of unhealthy fats and sugars. One way I've been satisfying my pumpkin cravings is by making my own pumpkin-flavored yogurt at home.

What to get the woman who raised you? She may not be as hard to shop for as grandma or dad, but I still have a few ideas. Mine is a Dancing With the Stars fanatic, so I'm snatching up their new workout DVD.

Thanksgiving's right around the corner — have you downloaded our planner yet? Now, I remember those adoro pies for finicky felines, but let your gourd-loving pups in on a lil, three-word secret: Pumpkin Pie Pops ($5).
Made of organic ingredients good enough for humans, the pumpkin snacks are topped with all-natural, veggie-food-colored yogurt.

The National Retail Federation is estimating the average household will lay out around $630.85 on gifts during the holidays this year. For most families, a major chunk of that budget goes to the kiddos who have been nice and, perhaps, a tad naughty. Whether or not you plan on going over or under the national average, parents not wanting to disappoint their little ones almost always find themselves spending more than they'd like during the festive celebrations.

In case you missed it, it's November, which means Thanksgiving is right around the corner, Christmas will soon arrive and before you can shout "Happy New Year," it'll be 2010. Not to put the pressure on you, but November doesn't just mean turkey and stuffing — it means Black Friday. I predict that this year, good deals and sales will be more important than ever to get people in the stores to shop for gifts, so be on top of it all with the Dealnews Black Friday app.

Although appetizers aren't the first thing that come to mind when one thinks of Thanksgiving dinner, I like to give my family something to nibble on while they wait for the big meal. Usually I serve a luxurious bite like crab cakes or baked brie with mushrooms. This year, I'm offering a classic seafood crowd-pleaser, clams casino.
