Remain Calm, Snapchat Best Friends Will Be Back . . . Soon

Whoa there, Snapchat. The company got rid of the Best Friends feature, to the dismay of snooping significant others 'round the world. Previously, if you tapped on someone's username, you would be able to see their three most contacted friends. It was kind of the best thing since it revealed who your, er, "real" friends are. That feature is no more with the new update. Bummer news? These people think so.

UPDATE: Snapchat's CEO Evan Spiegel tweeted to reassure users that Best Friends will be back soon.

We'll bring back BFs soon. A few higher-profile friends wanted to keep their usernames private - we'll come up with a better way to do that.

But the feature removal wasn't the only big change made today, Snapchat also unveiled Discover, accessible on the top right of your stories tab. In Discover, users will find Snapchat-style posts from CNN, Comedy Central, Cosmopolitan, Daily Mail, ESPN, Food Network, National Geographic, People, Vice, Yahoo News, and Warner Music Group. Swipe left and right to change up the story and swipe up and down to see more details. Guess Snapchat isn't just for weird Snaps from your friends anymore.
