The Most Stellar Beauty Looks From Alexander Wang's Runway

In one of his first showings, Wang gave us his most colorful makeup look to date. Heavy apricot cheeks and a punchy red lip paired perfectly with a sweeping ponytail.

In another dramatic turn, Wang sent his girls down the runway with dark eyeliner and deep-toned shadow. He went for simple hair, though, with brushed-out waves.

Wang kept the cat eye going for Spring 2009 but paired it instead with a half-up style and heavily highlighted skin.

He experimented with unique hair accessories for the first time in Fall 2009, tying back models' strands with a bungee-cord-type contraption. Neutral makeup kept things grounded.

Wang opted for whimsy over masculinity in Spring 2010, sending his models down the catwalk with a twisted, loose braid and pale pink makeup.

Grunge was good for Wang in Fall 2010. Models had their hair parted deeply to the side and gelled to look almost wet. Eyes and lips were shaded in burnt orange.

Tight buns were accentuated with thick white paint and spiky strands for the Spring 2011 show.

The strong Wang aesthetic took its footing for Fall 2011: bold brows, neutral makeup, and grungy, loose waves reigned supreme.

Models forgot their blow dryers in Spring 2012, pairing their wet-looking hair with a smudgy smoky eye and heavily contoured cheeks.

Minimalism was at its finest for Wang this season. A simple middle part gave way to a barely there makeup palette.

Models took to the runway sporting low ponytails adorned with black-and-white electric tape for Spring 2013. Bushy brows and bronzed cheeks were the focal points of the makeup look.

Wang continued on the trend of minimalism for Fall 2013, with slicked-back, wet-looking hair and subtle makeup that gave models a pale and slightly gaunt look.

Wang returned to his favorite barely there makeup look and sleek middle-parted style for the Spring 2014 runway.

Sleek straight hair and minimal makeup enhanced the androgynous look on the Fall runway.
