Celebrities Love Wild Eye Makeup as Much as You Do — Here Are 8 Extra-as-Hell Examples

Festival and red carpet beauty sensibilities collided on Martha Hunt's eyes at the 2018 CFDA Awards last night, and the end result was cool as hell. When the Victoria's Secret model rolled up to the event, it wasn't just her corset-inspired Thom Brown dress that demanded attention — her makeup also did. The daring look came courtesy of makeup artist Georgi Sandev, who perhaps should win the most dedicated glam squad award for tirelessly applying 21 Swarovski crystals to Hunt's eyes. (Oh, and she wore a matching crystal-studded mani, too.)

When she wasn't trying to make rat-tails fashun or wearing approximately 56 bobby pins in her hair, Kristen Stewart also schooled us in the art of pearl eyeliner. Makeup artist Beau Nelson applied the studs over Stewart's white wing liner, which matched the Chanel ambassador's beaded couture gown.

The best new way to cover up dark under-eye circles, as demonstrated by Jasmine Sanders: crystals. The model put hers on full display while walking Jeremy Scott's Spring 2018 New York Fashion Week runway. Makeup artist Kabuki dotted crystals just underneath models' waterlines, bringing new meaning to the term "bright eyes."

This may be the most subtle of all the looks, but actress Amber Heard earned her place on this list by turning a classic black cat eye on its head with a rhinestone smack dab in the middle of her waterline.

Joan Smalls was another one of the Jeremy Scott models who got to live out all of our Zenon fantasies. The spin on this one is that Smalls's monochromatic brown appliqués matched her neutral beauty look — a double whammy, if you ask us.

Just like a prayer, Lily Collins took us there with her a goth-chic eye look at the Met Gala courtesy of Fiona Stiles. The makeup artist admitted she fell into a bit of a Dark Arts Wikipedia hole while researching inspiration: "When I heard the theme for the evening, I automatically leaned into the idea of the occult and the dark arts. Yes, there's a lot of romanticism in religious art, but there's also a heavy sprinkling of the gothic," Stiles told POPSUGAR. "The crystals were meant to be celestial tears, and the blood-red teardrop was a nod to stigmatas and the tears of the virgins. You know, lighthearted stuff . . . "
