You Will Not Recognize Charlie Puth With His New Platinum Hair

Singer-songwriter and overall teenage heartthrob Charlie Puth hit the salon chair for a pretty dramatic hair makeover over the weekend. In a move that has surprised pretty much everyone, Puth swapped his dark brunette hue for a bright platinum blond — then, just hours before he performed "The Way I Am" at the Radio Disney Music Awards, he posted a picture of himself with the new look to Twitter and Instagram.

As you'd expect with any big change, the response so far has been mixed. Some fans compared his new look to everyone from Taylor Swift and Katy Perry to The Flintstones' Bam Bam. Still, lots of people are seriously digging the new color.

One Twitter use wrote, "Platinum hair like the platinum records you're gonna sell." Another agreed: "Years from now when we look back on these photos, I know I'll be thinking man, what awesome hair and color you went for. It does look good. I'm loving blond era Charlie."
