In case you haven't gotten enough of our festival-themed nail art inspiration, we have yet another bohemian-inspired design that is perfect for a weekend in Indio, CA. This look from Caption Polish is a creative take on a desert sunset, with orange-and-purple hues on a stark white base. The lines and shapes may look intricate at first glance, but we break down each segment step by step — just take it one hand at a time. If your hand-eye coordination isn't fine-tuned, you can also use a design stamp to get a similar pattern. Once you've mastered this nail art, move on to this advanced palm-tree design or go for this simple Flash Tattoo look.

Use Caption Base Coat ($12) as the foundation to your manicure. Polish a single thin coat on the nails of both hands.

Use Caption Core Color in Heaven Help Me ($12). Polish a single thin coat on the nails of both hands. Apply a second thin coat of the same color. Allow to dry.

Prepare the nail by using striping tape to mask off three horizontal sections on each nail. Then use Caption Core Colors ($12 each) in Zigged When I Shoulda Zagged (a magenta shade) and C'mon Now (a coral color) to paint bohemian-inspired shapes with a fine-point art brush.

At the masked-off segment closest to your cuticle, freehand-draw three thin horizontal lines across the nail, staying within the taped-off area. At the tips, use the same color to dash off whisper-thin diagonal lines. Think baby-eyelash marks.

For the middle section, use a fine art brush and dot in the chevron pattern as a guide. Next, connect the dots in a fluid motion with the same brush. Continue to stack the chevron pattern until you meet the next border of striping tape. Remove all striping tape.

Use a bobby pin or dotting tool to make marks across the nail in a single row, creating a dotted line between each section.

Use Caption Top Coat ($12). Polish a single thin coat on all nails. Allow to dry for two minutes.

To accelerate drying time, use Caption Drying Drops ($12). Apply one to two drops per nail after allowing the topcoat to dry as instructed above.
