The Eco-Conscious Hair Product That Completely Changed My At-Home Blowout

My hair has always been something of a sensitive subject for me. It's thin and damaged, and I can never quite get it to stay in the right place.
I've been coloring my hair since I was in 7th grade, and I had my stylist teach me how to blow it out properly so no one would notice how fine it really is. Needless to say, it's been damaged by heat and dye for far too long.
Despite being able to blow my hair out rapidly, the problem is I've never been able to get enough body and volume to last throughout the day. When our beauty editor recommended Davines' Liquid Spell ($45), I was hesitant to try it. I'm not typically big on products unless it comes in the form of a dry shampoo (because, you know, thin hair often gets oily quicker).
Notwithstanding my uncertainties, I took home the product to test it out. Check out how it worked out for me, ahead.
Davines Liquid Spell
The Davines Liquid Spell ($45) promises to strengthen your hair, add body, prevent further heat damage, and maintain silkiness and shine. The foam uses amino acids to strengthen hair and and heat-activated molecules to save it from my hot tools. But did it really work?

To my surprise, my roots were lifted and my ends were bouncy. After running my fingers through my dry hair, I didn't feel like the product left an unpleasant residue or grittiness I tend to find in other volumizing sprays. Even better, my at-home blow out lasted me throughout the day and it smelled great.
Now that this formula breathed new life into my thin, damaged hair, I may have just cured my fear of styling products.
