These Holiday Sugar Cubes Make Me Feel Like a Human Gingerbread Woman

Years ago, I worked at a spa that carried a creamy, seasonal lotion that smelled exactly like gingerbread. In between supplying clients with robes and slippers, I would slather the lotion all over my hands and arms — and yeah, maybe I tried to taste it once. As the Winter months passed, the lotion disappeared, and I was never able to find a product that quite replicated that "smells so good you want to eat it" feeling.
Then Harper + Ari sent me its line of holiday-scented Sugar Cubes.
For the uninitiated, Sugar Cubes look just like their namesake, but instead of dropping them in your afternoon tea, you rub them all over your moistened skin. Marketed as "dessert for your skin," they exfoliate your body while leaving behind a scrumptious scent. The brand's signature product has long been available in a number of juicy flavors — Peach is personal favorite, but I know people who live for Rosé — and the new line of holiday scents is every bit as delectable.
The trio — composed of Gingerbread, Fresh Snow, and Winter Woods — is perfect for anyone who loves holiday beauty products but not the sickeningly sweet versions that plague the shelves this time of year. While Gingerbread is by far my favorite of the three new scents, Fresh Snow and Winter Woods are as refreshing as a day on the slopes.
Before I get to the scent breakdown, be warned that if you're considering getting a bottle of these for a friend, you should definitely plan on buying one for yourself.
Winter Woods
Imagine if the most invigorating shower gel you've ever smelled had a baby with a pine tree. That's Winter Woods ($24).
Fresh Snow
Fresh Snow ($24) is your best bet for a "classic clean" scent — with the faintest vanilla twist.
Gingerbread
How they get hints of smashed cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg into these tasty smelling Gingerbread ($24) cubes, I'll never know.
