How Netflix Reinvented Your Favorite Witches' Looks in the New Sabrina Series

Maybe you're an Archie Comics fan (and are excited by anything having to do with Riverdale). Maybe you're a '90s baby. Either way, Netflix released the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the new take on the Archie storyline about the teenager who is half-witch and half-mortal.

Full disclosure: the only thing that the '90s Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Netflix's adaptation have in common are your key characters — Sabrina, her aunts Zelda and Hilda, her cat Salem, and boyfriend Harvey Kinkle — but everything in 2018's version is darker, particularly the makeup on the show. For Sabrina, this was intentional. "Sabrina's natural beauty look sets the stage for her transformation over the first season," the show's head of makeup Candice Stafford told Glamour. "Over the course of the show, her makeup — whether light and feathery or, eventually, vamped up with the other witches — is a barometer for her allegiance to the witch's coven."

Below is a glimpse of the beauty evolution of your favorite Spellmans.
