This Makeup Artist Used Kat Von D Lipstick to Create a Floral Swatch Masterpiece

The more popular makeup swatching becomes, the more creative beauty fanatics get with their techniques. Not too long ago, we shared how one cosmetologist uses her stash of over 1,000 liquid lipsticks to masterfully doodle cartoons and logos on her arms. But now, one Kat Von D fan and makeup artist is mesmerizing us with her tattoo-like swatches.

Instagram user @stellasabina_artistry utilized the majority of her Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick collection — including Backstage Bambi, Ayesha, L.U.V., Damned, Outlaw, and A-Go-Go — to cover her arms with incredibly detail-oriented illustrations of roses. The blooms not only appear as if they are three-dimensional, but look similar to some of Kat's tattoo work. For these reasons, it's not surprising that Stella's beautiful swatches were re-grammed on the official Kat Von D Beauty Instagram feed. We're also not shocked that we're definitely inspired to pick up a few of these shades at our next post-work Sephora run!
