Katy Perry Is Designing a Makeup Collection For CoverGirl
KatyCats (including your truly) have something new to freak out about: Katy Perry designed a makeup collection for CoverGirl. Though Katy has been the face of the brand for years and starred in its campaigns, this is the first time she has ever been the artistic director for a line of makeup.
Naturally, Katy focused on the two features she's known for: lips and eyes. Expect 13 color-saturated and moisturizing demi-matte lipsticks ($7) in trend-forward shades ranging from violet to honey and even a black. There's also a black mascara ($7) and CoverGirl's first-ever electric blue-hued mascara (likely a nod to Katy's love for Smurf-inspired hair).
The Katy Kat CoverGirl products will be available at mass retailers and drugstores in July 2016 (preorder at Walmart here), but you can see a first look at it all — plus an exclusive behind-the-scenes image of the campaign.
