A Kim Kardashian-Inspired Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick Is Coming!
Two of the beauty world's favorite things are coming together: Kim Kardashian and Charlotte Tilbury. But we're not surprised. The Hollywood A-lister and celebrity makeup artist have been courting each other for a long time.
Kim has cited Charlotte's lip liner as her go-to for an enhanced pout. And she shouted out other CT must haves when she revealed all of her favorite makeup picks here.
Kim even has a bit of a girl crush on the boss lady, which she admitted to InStyle. "I first fell in love with her when she confessed that her husband has never seen her, ever, without makeup on," she said. "So she sleeps with makeup every single night, and the first time I met her, she told me the funniest story about how he walked in on her in the bathroom and she didn't have her makeup on and she slammed the door, screaming. She's my idol!"
And while Charlotte has been openly influenced to create makeup colors after her celebrity clients, including Kate Moss and Penélope Cruz, Kim has always been on her radar. She gushed via InStyle, "Kim [Kardashian] has become a face of a generation. She is such a beauty icon. . . . She's such an empowerment for all women in terms of beauty. People really look up to her and her beauty. She kind of settles the whole contouring trend. She sets trends in makeup."
Well, the duo will be setting a new trend together when Charlotte Tilbury launches 12 colors in her Hot Lips lipstick launch come June 27. The shades in the line are inspired by influencers such as Salma Hayek, Sienna Miller, Poppy Delevingne, and Kate Bosworth. And, of course, Kim Kardashian. Though the reality star has not reportedly worked directly with Charlotte on this, Cosmo UK confirmed there will be a deep-neutral hue called "Kim K.W."
Charlotte told Cosmo UK: "Kim is the queen of the nude lip, and this vintage-inspired pale pink nude makes lips look instantly fuller and irresistible." She went on to call Kim "a modern-day icon" and said that "when she wears this color, she evokes the 1960s tartlets like Raquel Welch and Sophia Loren."
There's now one more way to get supersize Kardashian-Jenner lips without injections or surgical enhancements (big sigh out).
We are not yet sure if the June launch date is for the US in addition to the UK (we reached out to Charlotte's reps for confirmation and will keep you posted!), but we do know you can attain deets on social media by following the hashtag #lipstickconfidence. And we also heard that a donation of £1 from every lipstick sold will be donated to Women For Women, an international organization that supports those affected by war and conflict providing them with support, tools, and access to learning suvival skills.
