Kylie Jenner Responds to Lip Gloss Complaints by Making This Smart Move

After receiving the much-anticipated Kylie Cosmetics lip glosses, fans took to social media to complain about the product. Makeup artist Jeffree Star spearheaded the heated conversation via Twitter when he tweeted a series of complaints about the quality of the lip gloss brushes. Apparently, the bristles of the wand came like this:

So I got the new @kyliecosmetics lip glosses.... SO disappointed in this product. That wand is unacceptable. pic.twitter.com/NCkkUer2aV

The makeup guru, who said he was a fan of Kylie and her makeup line, was disappointed by what he received and wants her to fix her products ASAP.

No shade but... How the fuck can a multimillion dollar celebrity, think this is acceptable?? Was there no quality control?

Those were brand-new straight out of the box, and I pulled them out for the first time and saw that… umm...

— Jeffree Star (@JeffreeStar) April 15, 2016

I've seen on her personal Snapchat, that she kinda addressed this issue and said the wand would be better next time… do I get a refund?

So the first customers were just guinea pigs? How is that fair for a consumer to get something shitty and then the next launch its fixed?

— Jeffree Star (@JeffreeStar) April 15, 2016

Just sad as a fan and a makeup customer.. Not what I expected. :(

— Jeffree Star (@JeffreeStar) April 15, 2016

So there's my thoughts.. Take it how you want. I just hope she works harder on quality control and spends more time on future products.

If you have a voice, use it. I'm sick of celebrities getting away with half assing everything.

Jeffree's negative reviews quickly led to other Twitter users agreeing that they, too, received wands with broken bristles. One user even admitted her lip gloss came with the liquid leaking out of the tube.

@JeffreeStar that's how mine came and ruined a pair of my favorite leggings because it exploded!! Will not buy again pic.twitter.com/lZYooE2cC1

Despite all the complaints, Kylie acknowledged them and took to Instagram to address her fans. "I care a lot about the quality of my products," she said. "Life is a learning experience and we learn from our mistakes." She also revealed that everyone who had ordered on April 1 would receive complimentary glosses with new and improved brushes.

This is not the first time that Kylie has changed her products after receiving fan feedback. She updated her matte Lip Kit formula right after it launched, when fans complained they were too dry and thick. She also added a new applicator to her Lip Kits for a more comfortable experience.

Regardless of the backlash she's received, Kylie is taking it in stride and still sending out new orders to everyone. So, if you received a flawed Kylie Cosmetics lip gloss, all you have left to do is wait.

This is an old video from snapchat for anyone who missed it. I care a lot about the quality of my products. As you can see from my matte lips.. I changed my entire matte formula in the first month to be less dry and thick and I changed the wand to be more comfortable because I listen to you guys, and I love perfection. So good or bad, I love hearing your feedback. When I saw the problem with my lip gloss brushes I stopped all production and changed it. Life is a learning experience and we learn from our mistakes. Only a small amount of the old brushes were sold and I can now confirm that next week we are sending new brushes/glosses to EVERYONE that ordered on 4/1 😊... Only my new brush has been available since 4/1 and on the second release we sold over 200,000 of them ..😱 so that's amazing Love you guys more than you know. I'm always listening. -Kylie Ps. No need to email. We are automatically sending to everyone!
