Lush Oatfix Fresh Face Mask Review

This Mask and Your Breakfast Have a Lot in Common

After the stress of New York Fashion Week and running around to shows in the insane weather the Northeast is having, my skin was looking pretty rough last week. Not only was I breaking out, but I'd developed some pretty nasty windburn around my lips. Not cute. So when Lush sent along its Oatfix Fresh Face Mask ($7), I took it as a sign from the beauty gods and went home that very night for some skin TLC. Thanks to ingredients like smushed bananas, oatmeal, and ground oats, this mask looks and smells like something you'd eat for breakfast. And, granted, it looks a little bit like you've slathered baby food all over your face. But after five minutes of letting it sit on your mug, you rinse it off to reveal skin that's calmer, less inflamed, and a whole lot happier. I've taken to using this mask twice a week — especially since it doesn't seem like Mother Nature is releasing us from her icy grip anytime soon.
