Did Rihanna Flash Back to the '90s?

Are we having flashbacks, or does Rihanna look like she took her beauty inspiration from the '90s at the MTV Movie Awards? She wore her jet-black curls pulled up into a cascading updo, and her makeup look was centered on bold brows. Do we even spot a little dark brown lip liner? Although this look can be considered "retro," we love it on Rihanna. What do you think: too old school?
