According to Barnes, you can use a makeup product multiple ways. For example, try using a bronzer as an eye shadow or a lipstick as a blush. "When you go to a department store, they load the sale. You need an eye primer, and then you need the eye shadow, and then concealer. . . you're walking away with all these things when you could just get two things and do a whole face with it," he explained.

"I always start with contouring," Barnes explained. "I like to do contouring underneath the makeup so you don't see it."

Barnes aims to make his clients look "s'natural" (snatched and natural). "She's pretty, she's natural but a little bit more," he said.

To Make your neck appear skinnier, make a "V" with the middle ending at the center of your collar bones.

Barnes used a lighter shade of foundation on Westbrook than he did for the contour so the definition of the lines he's already placed on the face really stand out.

Barnes is a huge fan of using cream products: "I love cream. I think cream works primarily better than powder . . . it looks like it's coming from inside the skin."

According to Barnes, nose contouring is really where people mess up. "They overcontour and then they drag so much brown into the nose," he told Westbrook. Use less product to ensure this doesn't happen.

Barnes uses powders with slightly shimmery finishes to blend out his contour, moving in an upward motion.

Make sure that your hands, neck, and body all match your face.

Barnes uses a powder with subtle pink shimmer below Westbrook's eyes. "What that does is that is cancels out any sort of bluey purpley stuff underneath the eye," he said in the tutorial.

Barnes applied highlighter to Westbrook's brow bones, cheekbones, and her chest and shoulders.

In a move we really didn't see coming, Barnes revealed that he keeps spray sunscreen in his kit. He sprayed Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Lightweight Sunscreen Spray - SPF 30 ($8) on her chest and shoulder to give her that iconic glow.

If you place the gloss on the top lip on the very outer edge, they'll look fuller.

Use a lip liner to connect the two peaks of your lip and fill in to look like you have fuller lips.

When Barnes applies mascara, he first pushes it toward the root to create volume before brushing it out, like he's back combing them. He uses the end of the brush to lift and separate the lashes.

First, he turns the lash band inside out to stretch it and then applies the glue. Then he places the lash on the lid, finds the inner and outer corner, and presses that down and taps the center.
