At first glance, the product in this story looks similar to an Eos lip balm — let's just call it as it is. But what makes it so damn cool is that this little guy has nothing to do with your lips. It's actually the newest Secret deodorant launch, and it's the first to market of its kind.
I was one of the first testers of these palm-size deodorants, dubbed Secret Freshies Invisible Solid Antiperspirant Deodorant ($5). The portable underarm fixers come in Secret's signature fragrances: Cool Waterlily, Luxe Lavender, Chill Ocean, and Paris Rose. My personal favorite is the lavender since the scent has aromatic, relaxing qualities to it.
Here's what I can tell you about the Freshies. They're easy to conceal. Unlike a big spray bottle or stick, you can cup it in your palm, bring it to the bathroom, and easily roll it under your pit when you need a touch-up. Being able to apply deodorant on the sly has always been a problem for me. This packaging makes it much easier to covertly slide my hand under my shirt when a reapplication is needed.
The cap screws into place, ensuring it won't open up in your bag. Not going to name names, but I've had deodorant minis from other brands with traditional snap tops open up in my bag. This gets the soapy white wax everywhere, which is not fun to clean off your wallet and sunglasses.
Basically, this is the same Secret formula you may already use in a modern, new form. If you travel often and bring deodorant to the gym, you probably needed it, like, yesterday.
