Red lips are one of those beauty elements that work with any look and vibe, whether you're going fresh with a bare face or bold with a strong smoky eye. Keeping it simple with just a thin cat eye to keep the focus on the lips is always a winner on Instagram.

First, line your entire lips with a red lip liner. Using a formula that's rich in moisture will keep your lips hydrated. Next, apply a color-rich, long-lasting lipstick, and top it off with a lustrous lip gloss. You can dab the gloss on just the center of your bottom lip to add a touch of shine to your pout, or apply it all around for maximum impact.

Pops of blue are cropping up everywhere this season, from the catwalks to your favorite social media influencers. Whether it's a dramatic splash of pigment across your lids or a sutble hint of liner along your bottom lash line, this is a look that's sure to make a statement and turn heads.

Adding complementary eye shadow to the lids will soften the look, while still emphasizing the eyes, and make it more wearable for daytime. Using a palette with premium, buildable pigments, start by applying the darkest shade onto the outer corner of your lid. Working your way inward, blend the lighter, silvery shade onto the center, and finish with the lightest cream shade on the inner corners.
Over-the-top glitter lids may have shown up all over the fashion shows for Spring, but it's the sophisticated metallic lids that are taking over the 'gram. Considering the look is universally flattering for all complexions and eye colors, it's a total no-brainer. A pop of glossy bronze will make a bold statement but is still versatile enough to make a regular appearance in your selfies.

First, apply eye shadow using a gold palette with easily blendable shades. Wetting your brush before dipping it into the shadow will increase the color payoff and allow for highly pigmented hues. Concentrate the dark brown shade on the crease of your lid, followed by the bronze shade blended on the center of the lid, and finish with the light gold shade on the inner corners. Then, line the upper and bottom lash line with a creamy black eyeliner for a subtly smoky effect.
